The POS:3000 known as our Ford Taurus actually passed E-Check!

Yay!

This means we don't have to look for a van to trade this thing in on.... yet.

The thing is we had about $800 worth of work done last year to fix the problem and it didn't fix it. It would cost about $4000 to completely fix the problem and honestly its not worth it.

The check engine light will come on at different times. I simply replaced the spark plug for the mis-firing cylinder while the engine was warm, disconnected the battery, waited 15 minutes, then fired it up and went straight to E-Check.

Even though you like your Fusion, I'm never buying a Ford again if they keep making this garbage called automobiles. I shouldn't be having to worry about this with a 4 year old car that has been well taken care of.

I second you...

My experience with Taurus' (Tauri?) have me sworn off Fords as well. I used to call in my car for work and when I came to say the word "Taurus" the dealer always replied with "I'm sorry."

At least you didn't get totally screwed today with the E-check thing. I assume it's like a mandatory yearly inspection, yes?

In the lovely state of Michigan, we don't have such things....that's why you see so many cars on the side of the road all the time.

Out of the 88 counties in Ohio the E-Check is mandatory in 8 of those counties. I happen to be lucky enough to be living in one of those ( ... )
