a case of the ends not justifying the means because they are part of the cause.

I'm in total agreement.

The same can in fact be said of Starbucks, who treats their employees well, uses eco-friendly (in some cases anyway) products, but also uses killer tactics to put the local mom and pop shops out of business. There is a book about this... can't at the moment remember the title though. When I think of it I'll tell you.

I might actually make a very rare trip to the cinema to see the Da Vinci Code Wall Mart film. And the Ken Loach one. I'm feeling all left-wing and cinematic at the moment.

Damn... doubt that will come out here for forever! Hard to find VOS movies here., which is a pain, because I like non-English language films, but not if they are dubbed into another language. Spanish films in Spanish are FINE with me, but if it is dubbed I can't understand half of it, unless I read the subtitles too (on a DVD for example)

Anyway.... this brings to mind... I shall be spending some time in the UK at some point this summer, and I'm trying to figure out who all will be around at what times. (Friend in Edinburgh, and Rowena whom you met, and you.) So, Do you plan to be in London this summer? I have vacation, and am looking for work for July, but if I don't find it, I shall be travelling from 1 July until 1 October more or less. I'll likely stay with Rowena, but would like to hang with you some more. :) (email may be better for communication purposes ;) )

Oh, and I think I'd call them "Libertarian Communists" because in the US anyway, "Liberals" are frequently vehemently opposed to "Libertarians" who verge on being "Right-wing" with their economic policies and ideas.

It's all a big deliberate confusing up of political terminology. Or to put it another way, the word 'liberal' has been profoundly stolen.
