Daring and wonderful! heidzkins May 7 2005, 17:20:52 UTC
Wow, I enjoyed this immensely.

I thought Pulp fiction was bold in pairing comedy with violence, but I think pairing eroticism with death and sorrow may be even more daring... and you pulled off!!!

It made me tear up a bit, but I also stopped several times and chuckled at word choices and funny thoughts contained within. A lot of emotion for such a small length piece. It put me in places my mind has never wandered much before, such as how to loose so much and yet live, or to dare to seduce someone in such pain. Of course, also loved the moral uncertainties.

And, if I've not said it before, I so enjoy the way Luna has evolved with you at the helm, particularly how her oddities are still there and yet celebrating her despite/or for those traits. Love that!

I'm begining to fear that I won't be able to enjoy JKR's future unfolding of these characters if it's any different than yours. I'm quite wrapped up in what you've done with them, and look forward to your installments as much as JKR's next release.

Thanks for your kind words. I am glad you like my Luna. "Lunas" really I guess, as I think this one is somewhat different from the Luna of the Diaries. One of the things that makes fan fiction fun is that you can take the characters in a variety of directions.

:rolls eyes:

Please... JKR's work is the real thing. This is just play.

I am sooooo glad you enjoyed this! As always, thanks so much for your support of my silly little hobby!

This was amazing. You captured Ron and Luna so very well (Luna most especially...there's a lot more going on in her head than people think.) And when he explained about the Unforgiveable, well, I got a little teary too.

Mind if I friend you?

I would be honored if you friended me! I will friend you back if you do. I should warn you that my writing tends to come slloooowwwwly. But I hope to start posting a longer thing I have been working on soon...

Anyway, Thanks so much for your kind words. They mean a lot!!!

This is truly wonderful. So sad, yet with a positive look to the future...

It sounds silly, but I get all peculiar when fics mention people that have died. Like, I get terribly sad. I guess it just brings home that in the next two books, we'll be saying goodbye to quite a few people that we actually care about.

This fic was great, your Luna was fantastic, and I loved your Ron especially. The way that he is still Ron-like but with this sad quietness that he never had before.

Thanks for submitting this, it's fab. :D

Thank you so much for the kind comments!

It is sad to think about/write about/read about people in the potterverse dying. On the other hand it is hard to imagine a war without deaths, no? While it makes me sad to "kill off" people I think this is also one of the things that makes post war fic appealing to me. Who dies, and how, and how the survivors cope with that... all makes for great stories I think.

I am so glad you like my Ron and my Luna! I really do like both of them so much... together as a couple, or not, they are just fun.

I do have one other bittersweet post war fic and a couple of sort of silly Ron/Luna fics at aberforths_rug. Stop by and check them out anytime!

--Couldn't agree more! And this also sounds silly, but I get really interested in seeing who people choose to 'kill off' in the war. George is nearly always the twin that people pick, and people seem to want to kill Seamus off too. It's just interesting really...

Will check out the fic tonight as a treat to myself! :D I'm doing my last EVER University exams at the moment, it's all a bit stressful my end at the moment...

Good Luck on your exams!!! Hurray for being almost done!

Hmmmmmm..... I have killed George twice (actually three times but one is not yet posted). I think I just like Fred's name better to be honest!! (I had a boss once named George who was sort of difficult!) I agree, it is very interesting to see who people kill off!

Well, I hope the fic is a treat. They are nothing earth shattering, but hopefully you will enjoy them. :-)

Seriously...the sexual tension was leaking forth and I was so excited and usually I'm like, "No!" but I was like this is going to be good. And I'm so glad I discovered you (as an author). I totally love how in Luna's eyes Ron was living, but in actuality he wasn't. I'm so sick and tired of situtatonal irony and yours was different [dramatic?] and refreshing. I feel refresh. You should totally continue this- it has such potential. LOVELOVELOVE

So nice to know this story still has some life in it! Thank you so much for reading and commenting! May I ask how you ended up finding this piece?

aberforths_rug is my fic journal so please stop by any time. I have not been writing much lately as "real life" has gotten a bit busy, but if you enjoyed this I think you may find some of the other pieces there interesting.

I am so glad to hear that the sexual tension worked for you! :-)

Of course this was written pre-HBP... so some of it seems a bit unlikely now. I do like to think about the possibility of a truly difficult war and what that could mean for our young heroes.
