A good year for the insects is also a good year for things that eat them, so be warned - there are close-up photos of spiders in here, along with other things.

We had a lot of the little native bees near us - I suspect proximity to the wildlife reserve and quite a few native bushes next door (and probably more I'm not aware of) are the reason.
So many cicadas this year though! Amazing what rain does.
