2500 items? I cannot even imagine... do you wish for the entire series of everything by Runiko Takahashi? I don't think my list was ever over a hundred. I bow in respect of... I'm not sure what, but it fills me with respect!
Haha, I felt a little bit woozy when I saw that number as well!
I ended up finding loads of duplicates. Like hardcover and softcover of multiple graphic novel series where I added every volume. And I tend to use the wishlist more like a "reminder" list, where I hear about something interesting that I'd like to check out and plop it there, only to forget and never really come back to it. Lots of those got deleted, needless to say!
I have a main list and a "waiting for paperback" list that I put hardcovers on so I don't forget them while waiting for the paperback, and anything I'd buy if the used price went down. (though I think we've reached a point where enough people buy used that many things don't go down as much as they once did...)
I actually never realized that you could make more than one list. >__<
That is actually a wonderful way of working the lists! I might have to steal your secret Amazon list technique. (But don't worry, I'll never use it against you in a shonen manga tournament battle!)
I'm working on finishing up Heart Stone. I really, really want to finish this fic (or maybe just be done with it? XD), and I figured if I don't do it now it probably won't ever happen, so here we go!
If I have any extra time at the end of NaNo, I plan on using it to finish up another smallish fic and write some flash fictions.
So it sounds like we're kind of in the same boat again - finishing things up instead of really starting anything new.
I...didn't even know there was a limit. How many people even get to read that warning message? I'd tell you to go in and give your list a healthy cleaning-out, but the sheer number of items is enough to put anyone off. It may remain forever an immovable glacier of old, whimsical wishes.

By the way, what did you decide to do for NaNo? I finally settled on a mix of finishing some fics and doing planning for next year.
