So after much consideration and vascillation, the decision has been made.  I will be leaving my house at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to make my trek up to Los Angeles.  Hopefully this experience will be as fulfilling and cool as I'm hoping it will be.  Wish me luck.  ;)
