that things can get better. Equally nice to know that things can get worse. Today, things got worse. I guess I should be thankful I have insurance and only a $250 deductible. At this point, I'm ready to call this week a complete failure.

Aw, evil I'm sorry. It doesn't look too horrible though. Just think, at least you didn't rear end anyone and cause $3000 worth of damage to their car like I did.

Hope your day gets better.

Oh, it gets better. Just got off the phone with my insurance adjuster. Despite having not filed an insurance claim in over 17 years, if the damage is more than $1000, which it definitely is, it counts as a major collision. My insurance premium is set to DOUBLE for the next 3 years.

*HUGS* I'm sorry. Hopefully since it was just your car, you won't have any "points" on your driving record like I will.

Your insurance is still hella cheaper than mine is. I'd hazard a guess even with this jack up in price for the next three years.

I'm just glad you're okay. *HUGS*

You're also still NOT AN IDIOT.

Glad you are ok. Insurance is a necessary evil. We are fighting our own little insurance battle as a man with expired insurance did $1500 worth of damage to my sons truck.

If it causes your premium to increase significantly, it might be cheaper in the long run to pay the repair out of pocket and take the insurance option off the table.

Hope it all works out.

Sad, but true. Which begs the question: why do we bother carrying insurance at all? (Other than the mandatory liability insurance, that is).
