So Nick gave me a nudge, which I guess is a subtle suggestion that I should write an update to my LJ. :) Actually, not so subtle, since the email I got from the LJ folks said that it's been x-number of weeks since you've updated, so why don't you go do that!  So.  Here I am

Congrats on your sister's baby. So glad you got a new home and a car. Seems like lots of things have happened to you recently. I hope you'll find a way to go on road trips during the holidays, even during the time when fuel prices and everything are terrible.

Since you've disappeared, really bad things have happened recently. I've lost my father and my cat in the past couple of months. It's terrible. It seems like everything is going downhill from here. I didn't expect all the bad things to happen at once.

Wow, that was a longer than usual comment from me. I hope that's good enough. I'm being a pessimist lately, yeah.

I'm kind of okay now. I was shaken up and in pain because of that.
