I don't know why on earth people trust me with their secrets. I've told you people many times: I am addicted to gossip like people are addicted to crack cocaine, or heroin. In fact, I spend about 85 percent of my time at work gossiping. I then go home and gossip some more ( Read more... )

LOL that's true! I think some people have really terrible secrets, compared to others. Some people confess to me about the stupidest things...this one woman was like..."one time, I stole a candy bar from the store." i'm like...uhhh yeah, who cares. And then there are some jaw dropping, scandalous secrets..like a co-worker who once told me..."My husband molested my daughter, and now I think she's pregnant." Now that is just...I don't even know how to respond to that.

I love hearing gossips, can't help it. But at the same time I'm afraid that someone gossips about me. But then again, I feel like it doesn't matter. I don't have sooo bad secrets anymore since I'm single, so I don't have to be responsible for a girlfriend / boyfriend or anything. ; )

Oh yeah, I'm the same way, I'm kinda afraid that they're all gossiping about me! but at the same time, I guess I don't care, it's just in people's nature.

People always say gossip is bad and that nobody should do it and that you should feel guilty.

But um, yeah. I don't.

haha yes! I feel the same way. I can't stop myself from gossiping. BTW, since you're a community college teacher...when I was at Seattle Central Community College, there was some MAJOR drama that kept the gossip mill ALIVE. One of my English teachers had an affair with another professor there, and we had another English teacher who was a complete pervert who touched the girls. It was crazy. But that was over ten years ago.
