I hate that people think liking him is typical. If he's what you like, then he's what you like. And besides, I loved Choke.

I am torn between a few of his, but I've read them all and have learned something and generally derived surprise out of the plot twists, so that is good enough for me.

I remember reading that story when it was released online prior to the book's publication. It was chilling. I could relate to the emaciation but not much else. That part about the wax that boy used? Yeah.

It's like when you watch a TV show that gets gory with forensics or someone gets stabbed with a needle. I don't usually cringe when I read books but I was slapping myself in the face to get through this one.
