It almost makes me cry to read this. I have had the same thought for the last year basically.

When Bonds nears the record, or maybe the day after he breaks it, I am going to a game and taking a "Griffey, we love you: It should have been you" sign to a game. I know he doesn't believe Reds fans appreciate him, but I don't think I will ever feel so happy as the day when he came to Cincy. I remember listening to WEBN, and hearing the intro, "Guess what Wild Man is going to talk about?" Oh well, he is still a great player.
