If I had planned my day a little bit more careful, I would’ve selected foods that would impress anyone who stumbles across this madness but instead I ate a pretty random selection of foods today.
If I had planned my day a little bit more careful, I would’ve selected foods that would impress anyone who stumbles across this madness but instead I ate a pretty random selection of foods today. Some were smart, and some were just convenient.
When I woke up, I was thirsty. You would’ve thought that I had just run a marathon without a drop of water, but I hadn’t. I put on the kettle and boiled some water for my green tea with mandarin. It’s perfect with a spot of honey in it. (Actually it’s more like three spots since it’s a plus-sized mug.) Of course I had cereal. Corn bran with skin milk. I’m sorry, I couldn’t make that more exciting. It is what it is.
I spent most of the afternoon cleaning out my room. Switching my wardrobe over from summer to fall and of course after awhile, I was hungry. Instead of preparing myself a proper lunch I settled for nachos and cheese. Since I already had an open bag of Tostitos with Lime it was easy to add some pre-shredded mozzarella & cheddar to the chips and set the microwave for 60 seconds but stopped it after 50. They were delicious and a great reason to procrastinate with my cleaning.
I also snuck in a banana.
After showering and getting ready to go out with friends, I also ate a peach. When I purchased them the other day they were incredibly hard and unappetizing, but a couple days made them soft and delicious. I finished the entire thing and nearly cleaned the pit clean.
While shopping my friends and I decided to grab some McDonalds. It was cheap, easy and quick. I settled for a plain cheeseburger, medium fries and coke. I may or may not have had a raspberry pie at the end. (Raspberries are a weakness, I love them and have no shame about enjoying them in just about anything.)
We all ended up at my friends place and I ate a coffee crisp with the movie we watched. It was at first going to be a snickers, but I decided on the waffery, faux-coffee flavoured snack.
Finally there were many glasses of water in the mix throughout the day and a granola bar thrown in for good measure. It was a terrible day for ‘meals’ but usually on my first day off when I’m doing errands or cleaning or basically lounging about, I rarely put any effort to eating anything proper.
There you have it. A terrible day of foods and now I’ll end my day with a tall glass of 100% cranberry juice. Mmm.
