“Oh, sweetie,” Kirsten pulled him into a hug. “You poor thing. All this time … and he goes and does this to you.” so pleased that she believed him still.
“Well if she ever decides that she wants to be more than friends, and you want that too, then you should go for it. Seth doesn’t deserve your loyalty anymore, and it’s about time that you did something for yourself.” this does make sense, very cleverly worked out - I didn't see this turnaround coming.
I hope that it's believeable. I just figured that at some point, the penny would drop with Kirsten and she would have to admit to the fact that Seth isn't the guy they once knew. Ryan has stuck it out with them and done nothing wrong, it's about time that his happiness took precedence over that over the spoilt, indulged other son.
“I think the time has come for Sandy and I to lay down the law with Seth." OK, ummm, Kirsten? You should have done that a LONG time ago. ha. But I am glad she's supporting Ryan (and realizing she'd rather have Ryan's company than Seth's right now...here's hoping some "tough love" works for Seth)
You're right - she should have. But she wouldn't be the first mother to have looked at her child with blinkers on, trying to ignore what was blantantly obvious to others.
