You know what?

I'm sick of this life.  I'm off.

If you need me, I'll be in Qinghai.  I hear the yak herding's good there.

You had me until that third line. :P

I never do anything on this day, so I always take everything at face value. ^^;

:P This is half April Fool's joke, half excuse to show off that I know where yaks are indigenous other than Tibet.

Anyway, yeah, I figured the idea would be, "Oh no . .Ryani's upset again, what happ-oh."

Ah, by the way, did you hear about the live-action Eva drama?

Today, I'm on hyper-alert. Nobody's getting me today.

My Dad would have if he had actually gone through with his idea of coming up while I was sleeping and shouting, "Wake up! We're late! We need to get to that place so you can go to St. John's!" But that's only because I would have been sleeping, and thus off guard.

Brilliant use of yak knowledge. ;)

Gotta say, though, I'm torn between giving the kudos for "best" April Fool's to either the linkage in Neil Gaiman's journal (which, you know, since I got to them from there, and with his comments, I knew were not "legit" to begin with, but still, funny) or to the Star Trek movie article, just because it starts out so possible (Kirk sleeps with everything already, why not dudes too?) and then descends into incredible, incredible ridiculousness by the end.

Although gotta admit, since I was checking LJ today you did get me at first...I was all, "awwww no, poor Ryani, what's wrong? I gotta go and--Wait...wait, what day did she post this...uh-huhhhh...yaks. Right. Oh-ho, I see through you now..."

My only participation (aside from forwarding the Star Trek articles to two friends, one of whom was quite distressed over her breakfast until the very end of the article and was thus hysterical) was to have someone else arrange the switching of my comic with someone else's. So I guess I half-participated... ( ... )

Now, now, I hardly think you have the constitution or build nor temperament for Yak herding. I suspect you'd be better equipped for rice farming. But perhaps if a life of seclusion is your aim, you should try a nunnery a little closer to home? At least then you wont have to worry about finding an appropriate wardrobe.

One with pigs and wireless access. With luck, it could lead to a job in a pie shop. . .

I feel that this is a Pushing Daisies reference, and this makes me sad, as I have not yet seen the second season, but I am told that it has pigs and nuns. Nuns being the only thing that could make Pushing Daisies better, I would like to see this. ;_; I want my DVD set now.

(Well, I guess there are a couple other things, but mostly nuns.)

If this is not a Pushing Daisies reference, then, um, move along, nothing to see here. . . .

Yep, Pushing Daisies. I'd expand, but don't wish to spoil . . . I'll just confirm that there are indeed nuns and a pig.

*pokes icons* I am curious as to why I have failed to get an awesometacular Pushing Daisies icon as of yet.
