I have two memes to do - I'll do those tomorrow.

So, I've been  watching various things.  I guess this is my watching phase.  Time for my reading phase, now.  For now, I'm keeping this brief.

1.  Clannad
I watched part one of this, and you know what?  It was awesome.  It's not particularly substantial, though it is heartbreaking at times.  Mostly, it' ( Read more... )

It's not particularly substantial, though it is heartbreaking at times.

(I'm assuming part one = episodes 1 - 12 here, though my comments are pretty vague and mostly indicate which girls get the focus.)

Fuuko. . . . ;_; Need next set now need to know if Kotomi is okay need next set now Kotomi Kotomi Kotomi Kotomi aaaaaargh I am too cool for moe shows why do they always drag me in I refuse.

[/flail]

One thing that really surprised me in the first set was the way Sunohara ended up playing kind of a sad role in the Fuuko story - because he's, you know, Sunohara and his main schtik is getting kicked in the face over and over again, so why is he suddenly so serious? But it worked.

Nagisa and Tomoya are incredibly adorable and every scene with them in it is populated by fluffy dango bunnies of warm and fluffy feelings. "What's with the hand?" (dies)

Really, my main issue so far (aside from general flail) is that there is not enough of Tomoya and Nagisa and their families and the drama club. Poor Tomoya! If only you were a heroine, ( ... )

Yep - I've seen both discs.

The scene wherein Sunohara confronts Tomoya about Fuuko was one of my favorite non-Nagisa scenes. (I sort of adore Nagisa. Without the sort of.)

;_; This show is very good at what it does, and very good at making the audience emotionally invested in the cast. It's just plain fun and cute and sweet and adorable. I'm pretty sure this is my first show of the moe genre, but, well, it succeeded in sucking me in. (Considering my reaction to that one clip of Kanon, this may be a trend with me.)

Master Huey is really cool.

I can't say anything coherent about Baccano! tonight. My fondness of Maiza has been upgraded to thinking he was interesting to absolutely adoring him. Nicholas, however, I have given up on.

:P I think you need special glasses for that bizarre visual impairment. Maybe with an Anti-Yukui Fukari prescription.

I feel like renting out a billboard telling people to watch Gunbuster and Diebuster. Except that billboards are illegal here. Maybe I just need to gush profusely to everyone I ( ... )

Yeah. . .I think my favorite characters are Tomoya and Nagisa (tied), then Kotoooooomiii and then everyone else, because the cast is just. . .lovable. Lovable like a dango. But I really feel warm and protective toward Nagisa and OH ARGH.

Boy do I feel manipulated.

The scene where Sunohara talks to Fuuko and then doesn't remember who he's talking to is also really. . .sad. And the episode where Tomoya and Nagisa and Fuuko have a party and then they wake up and Tomoya and Nagisa have forgotten. . . . ;__; And Nagisa's mom, too. But then the show also has lots of fluffy and funny moments, like Tomoya drilling Nagisa on "why do you want to start the drama club," or the "Youhei Sunohara Wants To Join Your Party" thing, or Tomoyo beating up people in a bear suit, or Kotomi's deadly weapon (or her acting ( ... )

Wait until the finale. Jacuzzi is so much more than he seems to be.

Admittedly, almost everyone in that series is.

I really look forward to it, though that won't be 'til June.

I am very fond of Leverage! Hardison is probably my favorite, but Parker is a close runner-up.

Hardison is fantastic - I love how, in a weird way, he seems the most practical of the group, which contrasts awesomely with Parker.

I think I read in someone's post - that I agree with - that the interesting thing is that Hardison is pretty much the most capable of normal social interaction, and Parker is the least. Which makes their interactions really fun, and is also a nice change from the normal geek TV stereotype who can't interact with people at all!
