^^ I found a legitimate copy of volume three of Haibane Renmei for $10 on Amazon and eligible for "FREE Super Saver Shipping With Orders Over $25!" So, I got it - I also gave in, canceled my ILL for Sea of Winds and just bought it, along with the third book and some other stuff. (Yes. How specific of me.)

Well, more Nadia is a good thing.
Free shipping is such an evil enticement to spending. "Ah, I can get free shipping if I go up to $50, and this DVD from the Bargain Bin is only $9. . . . (click, click) Yay! I'm saving money!" (headdesk)

Yep, the combined forces of you and Nemo convinced me to watch it before Twelve Kingdoms . . .well, when I can get it.
It's interesting how serious in tone this disc of Nadia became - it was incredible, and very well done, and probably not all that surprising, but interesting.
Heh, I guess the appeal is that you're spending more money, but at least it's all going towards the things you're buying.
Oh, on a related note, my birthday present for you may be a little late, due to weird Amazon shipping issues, but I'm not sure yet.

Actually, I find it harder to believe that Nadia was a family show than Evangelion - there is one shot in Nadia that is just. . .sickeningly gross. I think it's on disc six. And there's a moment coming up that's really like a punch to the gut - it goes places you wouldn't really expect it to go and it's. . .unforgettable, really. I think it'll be on disc five.
