R.I.P.

Snowball, my rabbit, died last night.  He  was  born around 1997 or 1998,  and we adopted him from an animal shelter in 1999.  Despite constant jokes at his expensive, he was a good rabbit, and he was my friend.  I hadn't seen him for a long time when I got this news, as he lived in Florida his whole life

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope that he was able to be in peace and comfort when he passed away.

Thank you, and yes. He passed away while my mother was sitting with him and petting him. He. . .he lived even longer than the maximum life expectancy of a rabbit, and he had very few problems with health in life, and he seems to have had to endure almost no pain or suffering at the end, so . . .I guess he had as good a passing as a rabbit could hope.
