. . .can someone explain to me why the first time in a long time I am bitten with the creative bug (in more than one way, in fact!) it is four days before college when I have no time to indulge it?

. . .However, if you are interested in seeing my terrible writing and ripping it to shreds, which I will thank you for dearly, go ahead and friend

You know, the exact same thing happened to me after a whole summer of not being able to write anything halfway legible. (Due in part to receiving a manly lecture about HARD WORK AND GUTS from Flaed on the subject.) The Muses are evidently spiteful little buggers who only feel like inspiring the mortals when they are least able to do anything about it.

Yes! About a month ago I scribbled something awful into a journal and then last night suddenly it was like . . must transcribe. . ..must edit. .. must elaborate. . must write.

Maybe if I take writing breaks? Except. ..then I probably would get nothing done.

Hm. Perhaps you and I need to figure out to bribe the Muses. Maybe then they'll change their timing to something more opportune.

See, I have a strange but similar affliciton sometimes. I don't spontaneously need to write anything, but I do, in fact, spontaneously world-build, as noted by at least three half-formed ideas posted in someway on my own journal. Some times it just happens. Next thing you know I have a perfectly good alien invasion/general sci-fi setting and nothing to do with it.
