Snowpocalypse Canceled!

So all those inches of snow we were supposed to get in Seattle? Not going to happen according to Cliff Mass. The mountains are still supposed to get at least a foot of snow.

This is good news for me, it means chiaspod won't be driving home on icy roads after doing an all-nighter at work tonight. It should also mean we can get down to Tacoma tomorrow ( Read more... )

Sunday's fine. I won't be half-dead from exhaustion Sunday morning, and we're not driving to Tacoma on Sunday evening.

Sunday's fine.

Yay for snow on Sunday!

Be prepared anyway, car-wise, etc...although I'm sure you will.

...On the news, they recommended disconnecting garden hoses. Now maybe it's because I've never owned a home, or haven't lived in a house since 2001, but I've never heard that before among the many freeze tips...

I started hearing that this year, supposedly if there is water in the hose it'll freeze all through it, back into the spigot and potentially rupture the pipe. But if you disconnect it the chances of your outdoor faucets freezing goes down. Also you're supposed to put one of those insulator cup things on the faucet to help keep them warmer.

Hmmm.

Never saw any predictions that were certain we'd get any snow, let alone inches.

Jeff Renner said last night 4-6 inches in the low lying areas on the weather report I saw during the 11pm news.
