This is a neat one. It's hosted by two moderate Muslim brothers, one who lives in the UK, the other in the United States. It's a great perspective on the news that's very different from what we'd typically hear on mainstream media.

This is an extended version of interviews that Sheilagh Rogers does on CBC's Sounds Like Canada. There's some interesting interviews, but I really like how she puts these up mostly unedited, so you can hear what didn't make it to air, or what was said during breaks. This is the kind of thing that I think Podcasting really excels at, because you aren't tied to a broadcast schedule. The content controls the length, not the other way around.

This is a great idea. Every day, the CBC picks one story to air on this podcast, taken from all the different CBC programming across the country. Sometimes it's topical, sometimes its 45 minutes long.

If you want to see just how different the different parts of this country are, try listening to all these. They're all about 20-30 minutes long, and come out once a week. If you don't live where you're from, it's neat to have a nice roundup of what's going on at home. And if you just want a heads up on what's going on around your home, it's great too.

Propaganda from Mr. Harper. I like to listen to it because I hear his policy announcements and various other speeches directly from him. It's also fun to see which ones he posts and which don't make the podcast.
"
War News Radio" weekly, 30 minutes
subscription link="

This is a really important show. It's made by students at an American college with a radio program. It is the resurrection of a program that they ran during the Vietnam War. It's an outside of mainstream look at what's going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. They frequently cold-call Iraqi's over Skype and just talk to whoever answers. You get some amazing perspectives.
