The party is corrupt. Er, our leadership and public face of the party has veered to the religious right and become unethical and corrupt. It's a sad, sad day.

In theory, and probably practice, I don't like the idea of a fillibuster at all. It impedes things, and pisses me off...especially on nominations. It was just like in VA, there was a bill to amend the senate rules to add in a fillibuster (and quota), and I fought it tooth and nail. I would have never allowed it to come up because it's a potential weapon waiting to happen.

At the same time, with as corrupt and unethical as the Republican congressional majority has been, I don't like the thought of them further abusing power to, again, unsurp the say-so of a (fairly substantial) minority.
