Anyone that has watched the News lately knows what's been going on in the Nashville area. Last I heard, 12" of rain and it wasn't quite done yet. It's been over for a while now and well, the water is still rising, as far as I know.
I thought it might be fun to show people what's been going on in my neck of the woods. I'm on the very northern edge of the county - in Old Hickory.
The Old Hickory bridge, which I usually drive over whenever I decide to head out somewhere. The only comparison picture I could really find with a decent angle was google maps, so it'll have to do. Take note of the power line in the blurry background there. And the lovely golf course on the right side there.
And now watch it all vanish!

For an even better idea as to what's been going on, again I take the assistance of google maps to show you fine folk where I reside. It's pretty much right on the red dot.
Now, a shot out the window into the property next door. The guy has been traversing this almost all day in his pontoon boat.
I'm fine, though I know a lot of people out here are not. This all has a very surreal feeling to it.
