So ive been thinking about. Im going to come straight out with an example on this one. Guy who set the record on jepordy. He was on for weeks and weeks and one like millions of dollars. If im correct he was only a high school graduate. If this isnt the case you have permission to call me an idiot, or maybe youll see the meaning behind the example. ( Read more... )

I'll tell you one thing, sir. College is a whole lot better than highschool. You get to choose your schedule and classes YOU want to take. yes, there are core classes that you are required to have.. but there is a huge variety of them. not your standard biology, IPC, chemistry, and physics only crap. and you'll be amazed at how much you actually are willing to (and actually do) learn when you have a choice in what classes you get to take. I do, however, think it's absolutely ridiculous that's its come to the point that you really need more schooling and a masters degree to get you anywhere. that's really dumb, but whatever. Anyway, with whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best. just know that college is a wholeee lot better than highschool. definitely less bullshit. and a whole lot more interesting. yeah. okay. :)

you know I support you in whatever ventures you choose to take. You should come on the road with me after school. I am almost 80% sure I am going on the circuit.

I totally understand what you're saying about forcing yourself to get through school so you can have some unfulfilling job just so you can make money. My parents gave me a choice of whether I wanted to stay in school or drop out when I was about 13. I decided to stay and then go to college because I'm a total nerd about education. The reason why I decided to stay in college is because I beleive that I've found what I really want to do in life. It has nothing to do with money or education, it has everything to do with helping those in need. If you think that you'll be happy getting a GED and then going to college and figuring out what you want to do from there then go for it. High school is a giant baby sitter used as a bridge for college, but there are other routes and a GED is one of them. My only fear is that after you get out of high school you'll forget about a GED and end up in some mindless job you hate. If you decide to go through with this don't forget the reasons for why you did it in the first place. good luck..
