first off, if you don't think Eminem deserves a Album Of The Year award, FUCK YOU. It's going to be a Springsteen/Eminem race for Album Of The Year. If any of you say Nelly will win, again, FUCK YOU. :-p
Onto the other awards-
Record Of The Year-
Vanessa Carlton? k, Eminem? HELL YEAH, that's a check. Norah Jones? check, she just has that grammy buzz. Nickelback? check. And if you disagree, it was the most played song of 2002 on the radio. BUT DILEMMA? Where the fuck does that fit in with the other 4? Tell me please. I hope either Eminem or Nickelback wins here.
Song of the year-
I see Bruce Springsteen winning this one, though don't be shocked if Norah Jones can pull it off.
New Artist-
This is just a toss up. I do NOT know who will win this one but i'll go on a wild guess with either Michelle Branch or Norah Jones. This seems to be the award that Norah's most likely to win, imo.
Female pop vocal-
Pink? fine. Avril and Norah? Um, you DIDN'T expect them here? Sheryl Crow? Not unlikely. Britney Spears? I did NOT expect this. I was actually plesantly surprised but she sadly has no chance here. I'll say Avril here.
Male pop vocal-
Elton John deserves this nom, but I wouldn't give it to Original Sin(though the video with Mandy Moore in it=*drool*). Sting and James Taylor? Where the hell did they come from? So it's between John Mayer and Craig David..gotta go with Craigy D. 7 Days is easily his best single ever and it was a legit hit to boot so I hope they pick Craig.
Pop Duo or Group with Vocal-
who do I root for here? hmm..obviously not Bowling For Soup. I mean, WHAT THE FUCK? Bon Jovi is understandable but no dice from me. *NSYNC seems likely to win this but I don't know if they actually WILL...I think it will be between No Doubt and DMB with No Doubt winning.
Pop Collabo-
Christmas Song?! NO. What a Wonderful World? OLD. Better Than Anything and It's So Easy? what the hell are those songs? and Dirrty? PLEASE. That song can go suck it for all I care. So The Game Of Love wins in a landslide.
Pop Vocal album-
I think either Avril or Norah will wind up with this one, though i'm really rooting for Pink in this category.
Dance Recording-
Okay, Kylie Minogue HAS to win this. No Doubt, while Hella Good rules, is NOT dance. Dirty Vegas? GO THE FUCK AWAY. Haven't heard the Groove Armada song and Daniel Beddingfield seems too young to win at this stage.
Female Rock Vocal-
Okay, i'm rooting for Sheryl Crow here..or Melissa Etheridge. Sk8er Boi is as much rock as System Of A Down is pop, so shut up Grammys.
Male Rock vocal-
The Rising. The Rising. The Rising. That is all.
Rock Duo or group with vocal-
Hmm..U2 seems to be the favorite, like they ALWAYS are yet Walk On was nominated LAST YEAR. Aerosmith? no thank you. Tonic? Ehh, don't see it happening. Do I want Creed to win? Kind of. For My Sacrifice? no, One Last Breath. I think Hero should and WILL win. Oh yeah, Coldplay and 3 Doors Down? Coldplay has the best chance of the 2 but I like When I'm Gone more than In My Place.
Hard Rock Performance-
Wow, this is probably the best category of all..to me. P.O.D. is my obvious choice for should, but who WILL win? toughie. I would say I Stand Alone but i'm not exactly sure about that. Give it to either the Foos or SOAD..OR P.O.D...and I will be grateful. Hell, if QOTSA wins, hell yeah, i'm down for that too. Just give them all the award.
Metal performance-
Never hard of that Stone Sour song, so down to 4. That's not the best Korn song, so down to 3. Is Rob Zombie really even close to Metal now? down to 2. As much as I love Portrait, I think Slipknot will win.
Rock Song-
I will only say this one time..The Rising WILL win. I want Hero to win more than anything else in the world but I still think Bruce the old geezer will win this one, too.
That's all of them for now, probably more analysis later. :)
