Three weeks out and little confidence.

Drill this morning, and the creeping suspicion is realized, I have little confidence in 2007. We have THREE weeks until they throw on new shoulder boards and they're not ready. I would say over 50% of the 3/c in my company would not be ready tomorrow to have any increased responsibility, much less taking care of swabs. I don't see ANY indication

Holy crap, you sound a little fired up. I'd like to say that 2007 isn't completely useless. I will agree with you - I don't feel ready at all for next year. I don't think the Academy has given us the resources for it. This time last year the 3/c were inspecting the 4/c for Comp Chump, there was some kind of morning training (it was physical, I remember that much), and there was a bit of a change in the environment. This year... no one seems to care. I've mentioned it to my second class and I think he could care less. No one is willing to give us these leadership opportunities, and yes, because of this we're not ready for anything. I'm not sure what type of second class cadre I'm going to be, and being that I'm first make I better figure it out fast
