Man, Oh Man.

I just got B+ B+ B+ B B for the quarter and i think i did serious work...never, all quarter. I can't even begin to count the amount of classes i skipped or the days/weeks of procrastination. I really wish procrastination would have adverse side effects other than feeling like i want to die each time i narrowly avoid getting academically reamed. So ( Read more... )

As for what I can say, shit man. Don't be bugged about the kid factor. Its good that you recognize what you want in that aspect. And its okay to think about it. Shit, I know a lot of ppl who think about that stuff. Everyone makes plans, and that don't always go that way. I've made a shit load myself and so far the only one I'm getting is atleast i'm getting a college education, though i planned to be done by now. Its good to have goals. It sucks not knowing where you'll be in a year or so, but its okay. Thats a lot of college students. Get an idea of what you want. Do you want to be on the west coast, doing it the typical way? Or do you want to pursue your career else where. Just start asking the questions and thinking about them. You don't have to answer them yet though. Agh, i probably am not making any sense ( ... )

No, it does help. I've been retooling my life as we speak actually. Trying to shrug off the bullshit, etc. I've been thinking about west coast a lot. LA/Hollywood is the place to be for film directors, i realize that, but i'm not set in stone. The fun of it will be applying for jobs. Also just started TV 2 and things look really optimistic with that. I appreciate the words of wisdom.

Btw, who is this? :P

Well I'm glad I was able to help. I love the west coast. I've never been to LA though. Its not for everyone, but you never know til you try. I have you been out that way at all?

I think any job is a pain in the ass when it comes to applying. I'll have to apply next year, and most likely I'll be applying out West. There aren't any jobs in my field out here, which is okay, i really don't want to live in Ohio. ha.

Have fun with TV 2. Sadly, I really don't know what it is. Is that a TV station for campus?

Oh and as for who I am. Lets just say I'm a stalker! muahhha! Okay, I guess thats a bit creepy. I was just trying to be funny, sadly, it doesn't work as well for me as it does for you.

TV2 is our highest level video production course. Basically they throw you a camera and editing station and let you go nuts. I've been writing a few scripts with a friend and i think we might have something that will knock the socks off my badass professor. I've been to san fran recently, that place was hella cool, a bit cold for my liking, but sweet ass city. I need to visit LA, i think i'd have a good time, but i know little to nothing about it. I may road trip it this summer, check out some of the production studios while i'm out there.

What field are you in that won't allow jobs here? BTW, i feel you on not wanting to live here. I mean i understand my parents choice of raising me here, it was a nice place to grow up, but hell if i ever would stay here after college. Especially because of the local goverment, it's so whacked and going nowhere. But i digress. Your turn.
