Fanfiction

Ok I'm bowing to peer pressure here. I love reading, have ever since I was a little kid and would take out books from the library that would amount to a pile half my size. Thus I very much love reading fanfiction. I savour good angsty Ryan fanfics, House, NCIS, Everwood... heck every show I watch I pretty much read fanfiction based on it. But I do ( Read more... )

Ryan called this ‘the dance’. Basically, the two would edge around the floor, surveying each other for their Achilles Heel and mind fuck each other over, trying to scare the other one off. But nothing scared Ryan anymore and there was nothing left to fuck with, which is why Ryan always won. I'm not really a fan of the cage-fighting spoilers, but you've made me believe it. I can picture this so vividly, it's very well-drawn.

Suddenly the guys face warped and merged, morphing into someone he had known in his previous life. The very person he had come to Mexico to chase down. I really like this bit. I can see how Ryan would just focus on his anger and channel it all into his cage!fight just like this.

Ryan was cleaning up when Seth launched into a tirade, ranting once again about the intricacies of Summer - and Ryan had finally cracked, spinning round and planting his fist firmly into Seth’s jaw. *CHEERS* Again with the awesome. Totally in character and the guilt would just be stifling.

Growing pissed, Ryan snapped his ( ... )

Thanks. That means quite a lot as I absolutely adore your fics. Being my first one, well I know it isn't that great. But it will get better (or so Monnie tells me), hopefully!

Indeed. Though really Kat, what if I were to kill him?

Nah, I would never do that... or would I?

You can hurt him as much as you want, but he needs a to heal again afterwards.

Very nice. And we definitely need to see what happens now that Seth has appeared.

Thank you! And yes, I have 2 (rough) chapters to add on already though have just realised that I should have had an actual conclusion in mind before I started posting. I could go anywhere really. It's a worry.

This is nicely gritty, with all the raw emotion that I would expect Ryan to be going through. And running away / leaving? So 'Ryan'.

He'd be eaten alive with guilt over hitting Seth, and that on top of the pain associated with Marissa's death and his role in that trajedy? TJ would have looked like a very viable option, and hunting Volchok an outlet for his angst.

I find your take entirely plausible, and very much in character. I'm looking forward to more!

Oh yes I do love the angst and Ryan does it so well.

Thank you. It's nowhere near the high calibre of your 'Dear Ryan' of course but I'll just hack away and hopefully get there. Ooh actually I haven't read the end of your fic yet (I put it off, didn't want it to end!). Am toddling off to read it now...

Hack away? Hardly!! Don't sell your talents short -- lovely work you've got going here!

As for mine? 'Dear Ryan' was therapy for me, 'cause I wanted Cohen + 1 instead of what we got. Hope you enjoyed...
