It's exactly as I think things should work, that one loves something, and learns about it, and keeps doing that for a long while, and then gets to be involved in it in some building-for-the-future way. Rock on, you!

I hope I can live up to that praise. And, yes- from my perspective, it's also gratifying (and extremely stunning) to watch things take shape (or, even just align themselves, if ever so briefly) in ways that are actually representative of my ideals.

Actually, I'm not sure if I even believe it when it happens. I'll chalk that up to healthy skepticism, if that's ok with everyone...

My b/f Andy told me about this last night, and said Obama had said he had "the world's biggest train fan" with him... and I said "how did he find rY.???"

You come before Joe Biden as far as fans of trains are concerned, in my world. This is a great day for all of us. YAY!!!
