So, this Doctor Who season will be over soon, and Ashes to Ashes was a flop (imo - I haven't been able to make myself watch more than the first 2 or 3 eps), so I find myself without a show to watch. So I appeal to my flist - Any recommendations? Preferably something small (as in, only a season or two).

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but Pushing Daisies is really fun and kind of awesome. And it has dead people, so it should be (sort of?) up your alley.

I did watch an episode of Reaper, which was okay and even funny at points. But the main character is a dumbass, and I can't love a dumbass, so I'm personally obligated to veto that one.

My friend has introduced me to the American show Burn Notice, which is about a ex-spy, his Irish terrorist ex-girlfriend, his mom, girls in bikinis, and Helping the Helpless in Miami. It's not sci-fi, so maybe not your thing, but I found it quite clever and interesting and not predictable.
