Oh, this is just lovely and sad, and perfectly in character, which is hard to do with Leslie. And beautiful tropical fish Ann is wonderful, of course.

And I love that Leslie has a relative who is still angry at her for sneaking a cookie 27 years ago. Because Leslie would hold a grudge that long. Not over a cookie, she would understand the cookie, but...

Thank you! I was aiming for the most absurd thing to possibly hold a grudge over, and that seemed to hit the mark. And given the grudges we've seen Leslie hold, she must have inherited that level of stubbornness from someone (multiple people, possibly).

Thank you! I originally wasn't going to do a chapter during the breakup, but then it seemed necessary for the flow of the story. I'm really glad you're enjoying it.

I love how you're delving into Leslie's perspective on the break-up and the back story you gave her with her dad's side of the family and of course - always - her friendship with Ann. I can tell you took careful time with this and it shows in the lovely, character driven story you told here. Great job!

Thanks! I love writing introspective stuff like this, but sometimes it's a challenge to do for this show. I'm really glad to hear that you think it works well here.

oh! this is so sad, and so lovely. i love how you handled leslie's sort of vague sense of loss here, knowing it's tied to ben but not exactly knowing what that means, and i love the bits of leslie's family we got to see. and best friend ann. thank you for updating.

SO I have been trying to grasp and understand the concept of showing and not telling as an author- and you are the best example of this. I feel like I live your stories, your emotions, your world that you so beautifully create. So thank you for that. Thank you for giving me this. And I love the part that Ann plays in Leslie's life.

As someone who had to both learn and teach that concept, I think it's profoundly difficult, so it means more than I can say to hear that you think I do that well. Thank you so, so much. I really got emotional reading this comment.

Haha no THANK YOU for giving me a good example. I seriously am like looking at your work like "Wow she does it perfectly there" and "OH I GET IT" at certain places. And I am glad to have given you the praise you deserve.
