This is such a thoughtful exploration of Leslie during the breakup. I'm especially impressed with the last little scene, where not much happens plot-wise, but Leslie is slowly starting to realize Ben's point of view on the breakup is not the same as hers--but since you've kept her appropriately stubborn, it still works really well with her apology in "End of the World."

This was a tough chapter to write, so I'm especially glad to hear that you think it works. Thank you!!

Oh this hurt in all the best ways. The end scene was like a punch to the gut, I felt so bad for both of them. Lovely work, as always.

Ugh--Thank you so much! This is a great summary of what I was merely hoping to portray in this chapter, so to hear that it might have worked even a little means SO MUCH.

“Leslie, you can’t pity someone who chooses to be miserable. She’s held on to every bad thing that’s ever happened to her, every disappointment in her life, and she turns it back on everyone else. Living that way is her choice, and she has to live with the consequences.”

This hit very close to home for me ... not in a bad way just in a way that made me reflect. Thank you for that and for always writing such amazing stories.
