I finally watched Life Aquatic and I can't say I enjoyed it as much as Royal Tenenbaums but it was fun, and the Buckaroo Banzai reference totally made the whole movie worth watching.

I also loved the interns. Poor interns.

Why do I suddenly have the urge to take the image from your userpic and caption it "Not Cavalier"?

I never saw Bottle Rocket, and Rushmore had some moments that made me squirm, like Life Aquatic.

Oddly enough I too watched it for the first time just yesterday. For some reason, Anderson's films hit me the right way. Like, 1:1 scale cross section of the whole ship? Awesome!

I tried to list Wes Anderson flicks from most liked to least, but I can't. Each has their own virtues and pitfalls. Though I would have to agree that Bottle Rocket would probably be at the bottom of the list.

Also: Do dee do, do-do-do, dooo dooo, do de doo doo!

I must icon the hell out of that movie. Good one line jokes and Wes Anderson sets his scenes in such a way that they scream to be made into stills.
