I found out something tonight that makes me very pissy with gmail. Earlier this evening I mailed myself an HTML file, sending to my gmail account. When I logged back in to download it, I found that it had taken my attached file and embedded the HTML into the body of the email itself, removing it from the attachment list. No other email has done it to me. Now that Yahoo is loading I can see that it was attached correctly. The original email offers me the option to "download html file" and "download text file" which were the two items I attached in the first place. The email in my gmail inbox only offers me the option to download my text file (which is my .css file for all my formatting) and is displaying the HTML file graphically IN the email. No option for download or looking at the source. Grr.

I've picked up the habit of zipping up files I want to send back and forth from various email accounts, because lots of email servers now routinely block .exe and related possibly dangerous files, when I really need to send these for work.

I haven't had the problem sending from Yahoo ever before. Very annoying.
