Thought this was funny. Thought I would like to share...

FEUDALISM: You have two cows. Your lord takes some of the milk.

PURE SOCIALISM: You have two cows. The government takes them and puts them in a barn with everyone else's cows. You have to take care of all of the cows. The government gives you as much milk as you need.

You have two cows. The government takes one of your cows and grinds it up. In twelve to sixteen months you get a hamburger back in the mail. That's cool, it's good to get stuff in the mail. Now, the guy who drove the truck that got your cow got a hamburger, and the guy who put your hamburger in the mail got a hamburger. Another hamburger would go to cow school, to better your other cow, but that hamburger goes to the federal oversight of cow schools now. That’s fine, all those guys really do is issue unfunded mandates anyway. An unfunded mandate means you don’t have to give any hamburgers to the government when it makes new, arbitrary, and often expensive regulation, you just have give some to the state that you live in. And that makes a difference to you, right? Well, maybe not, but it makes a difference to the state. It means there are fewer hamburgers for roads and schools and basic social services. On the bright side, the federal government, well, stays about the same I guess. Those hamburgers would just be wasted on roads and
