Is there a way to make every post private and seen only by me?

I want to make my fitness journey public, but I don't want people who are reading that and don't know me to go back and find a dissertation on the way SPN treats Catholicism.

Anyone know a trick?

Yes. When you're posting, at the bottom of the page is "Security" drop down box. You can select "private" so only you will see it. "Custom" allows you to great a group of select friends that you'd like certain things.

I've been off of LJ for so long that all the little things have escaped me. Do you have any idea how to make things private for 100s at a time, or only for one at a time? I'll go back and do it one by one if I have to, I'm just super lazy.

Yes. Filters are your friends. I have a ridiculous amount. Keeps things sane.

I have a filter called Adel's Whinge Filter, because when I saw you called something a Whinge Filter I fell in love and named it after you. =)

Yes, I'd have to poke around for it, but there is definitely a setting for making everything before a certain date you pick private. I have a friend who does it every year, makes her old entries private.

Oooh, if you can figure that out, please let me know. If I need to go back and save them one by one I'll go insane.
