Great so far! It's interesting to see Spock in the beginning of his time at the Academy, and I love how Jim is including him in everything.

Big Basin -- awesomesauce!! it is my favourite park so far, of those I have visited. Though Sequoia/King's Canyon comes very close...

I thought about using a sea lion, but it was mostly that the legends I'm familiar with talked about seals. :p
