wonderful, just wonderful. brings back memories -- Gran used to talk about the selkies, and the fae, and lots of nifty things the other big people didn't believe in.

So yes, knew from the first that Jim must be a Selkie, and what a clever idea, as someone said in the above, to make him a child of two worlds. I still find the harbor seal an interesting choice, because they are the one really common seal, around humans at least, and I guess I've always associated selkies with sealions because they're better on land. Love it though. Thanks for the story.
