Summary: Someone receives lots of chocolates but the other doesn’t have any.
Today is Valentine’s day at Johnny’s High School. The boys are getting excited as they talk about how many chocolates they will get. Some of them even had a bet on who will get the most.
Three students are sitting in their class, talking animatedly while two other boys are being silent.
“I bet I will get the most. Like every year,” Ryo says seriously and smiles widely at his friends.
“But you might not get one from that person.” Pi grins and gets- smacked on the head.
“I don’t care about this geek at all! Today I will get many boxes from really cute girls ~” Ryo drools at the prospect.
“Eww you’re drooling; that’s gross!” Aiba gives him a tissue.
“Will you give him some this year Tat-chan?” A pretty and cute boy asks his friend.
“Like every year, Kazu. You know I can’t. What will he think of me? And he gets so many boxes from girls every year. It’s just impossible!” Tatsuya says slowly.
“But you don’t want to confess, you don’t want to give him valentine’s chocolates... It’s our last year here, Tat-chan, we are going to graduate and you will probably not see him anymore!” Kamenashi tears up and looks at his friend, sighing.
“It’s okay, Kazu. I knew from the beginning it was a lost cause.” He smiles sadly, staring sideway at the boy grinning victoriously at his two friends.
“But it’s so sad! I will help you this time and you will not stop me, I tell you!” Kamenashi threatens him with an evil smile.
“No Kazu! Don’t do anything, please? The shame will be on me afterward! Remember the last time you went to him? He laughed at my face.” Tatsuya pouts childishly.
“Believe me. You won’t regret it ~” Kazuya is not listening anymore, and walks towards the three boys sitting in the back.
“Kazuya!!” Tatsuya calls his name, but his friend doesn’t care.
As Kamenashi is talking quite amusedly to Ryo and the other two guys, Tatsuya just turns himself on his chair and tries to read his lesson. He can hear them laughing and it is making him all anxious again since he has no idea on what Kamenashi is saying.
“Ueda-kun, happy valentine’s day,” Someone says to him.
“Eh?” Tatsuya looks up from his book and almost chokes on his own saliva.
“Can you accept it?” the girl asks him gently.
“Oh. Eh. But why me? Maybe you got the wrong person?” Tatsuya says, looking around him and realizing he is all alone with the girl now.
“No, you’re Ueda-kun, right?” the girl laughs slightly and blushes a little.
“Well yes but…” Tatsuya tries saying, but the girl cuts him off.
“So do you accept my chocolates?” She says, smiling cutely at him.
“Is this some kind of joke?” Tatsuya looks around again.
“No! Will you stop it already? Just say no if you don’t want them!” The girl spits.
“I’m sorry, I can’t accept them. But I’m really happy you want to give them to me. Thank you.” Tatsuya smiles at her while she turns and walks away.
“I’ve seen it ~” Kazuya appears near him and chuckles.
“What?” Tatsuya looks out the window, hiding from his friend.
“The girl ~ someone is not really happy you got a box though...” Kazuya smiles mysteriously.
“I don’t care, I did not accept it.” Tatsuya brushes Kamenashi away.
“Teehee ~” Kazuya chuckles and sits at his place.
5PM. Time to go back home has finally arrived. Tatsuya puts his books in his bag and walks out the classroom. It’s not like he’s in a hurry or anything, but he just got bored of watching his crush receive lots of boxes of chocolates and girls squealing at him.
He is about to leave the school when he bumps into someone walking the opposite way.
“Tat-chan, come with me, it’s important!” Kazuya takes his hand in his and walks them to somewhere only god knows.
“What? Where are you taking me, Kazu? I have to go home, my sis will be angry at me again.” Tatsuya tries to get his hand out but no success.
“Tat-chaaaaaan, have faith in me, will you? I already called your house; you’re sleeping at mine tonight!” Kazuya cackles in his ears.
“Eh what? Why?? What’s happening? Kazuya!” Tatsuya asks, really curious now.
“You’ll know soon.” Kamenashi winks. “We’re here ~ Look, look.”
They arrive behind the school, and Tatsuya looks inside the gym. In there, Ryo is being confessed to by a pretty girl. She is looking shyly at him and plays with her shaking hands as she waits for an answer.
Ryo has a chocolate box in his hands and is looking bored.
“So… Nishikido-kun, can I be your girlfriend?” the girl says, blushing.
“I’m sorry, but I already like someone else.” Ryo answers, and turns. “Oh, but can I keep the chocolate box as a souvenir?” he asks, smiling at the girl.
“Oh. Of course you can have it. It is for you...” She says, and runs away crying.
Ryo sits on the floor and shakes his bag upside down, making many chocolate boxes fall.
“One more to the pack,” He says, and smiles. “Thirty boxes this year, quite a good record,” He whispers.
Tatsuya stares as Ryo puts all the boxes in a plastic bag and leaves it somewhere in the gym.
He hides when his crush passes him, walking away.
“But I don’t care, since I don't have one from my lovely Princess. Like every year, I’m such a fool for hoping he would give me one.” Ryo sighs. “I guess it’s goodbye.”
“Here!” Kazuya puts something in Tatsuya’s hand. “Go now!”
“But, but why?” Tatsuya blushes. “And how do you know it’s even me. I’m not a girl!”
“You and I know very well you’re the only person Ryo calls that. So stop thinking and go to him already!” Kazuya pushes his friend and calls Ryo’s name loudly.
“Kazu!” Tatsuya blushes embarrassingly.
“Kame? Oh, Princess is also here with you. What is it? Did not get any chocolates?” Ryo grins at them.
“I have to go now, see you tomorrow.” Kazuya waves at them and runs away.
“What’s wrong with him?” Ryo whispers slowly and turns around to look at Tatsuya.
“Nishikido-kun…” Tatsuya tries but keeps on blushing. Ryo, seeing his crush’s face, can’t help but be really happy.
“What is it, Princess? Do you want me to give you one of mine? I got a lot, you know. I am nice enough to share one with you.” Ryo smiles gently.
“N-no. No it’s not like that. I. Err..” Tatsuya looks away.
“What is in your hand? It looks like a little box. Oh! You finally got one, I guess. Did you want to tell me that? Good for you then.” Ryo sighs heavily and turns to walk away.
“Nishikido!” Tatsuya walks rapidly and catches Ryo’s sleeve.
“What?” the other snaps.
“Actually, this one is for you.” Tatsuya looks down and puts the box in Ryo’s hand. “I really did not want to give one to you, but since it’s our last year, I thought maybe… I could try. Well actually it’s Kazu and-“ Tatsuya keeps on babbling but shuts it eventually as he senses a pair of lips on his.
Tatsuya closes his eyes slowly, not believing what is happening. It felt so good. He almost thought he was dreaming, but then Ryo bites on his upper lip and Tatsuya gasps; the kiss is all wet and messy afterward. Ryo is the one breaking the kiss. Staring right in Tatsuya’s eyes and smiling widely.
“I’m so happy!” Ryo is happily dancing inside his head. He hugs Tatsuya tightly, gluing his body to the other’s.
“I’m really really happy!!” he says again, kissing Tatsuya’s cheek repeatedly.
“Hmm. Me too,” Tatsuya finally answers, and blushes madly.
“So does this mean you’ll be my precious valentine this year?” Ryo whispers, and giggles.
“Well if you want me to be, yes, and maybe next year and the year after…” Tatsuya blushes again and looks down.
Ryo kisses him passionately and keeps on cuddling him while they make their way out the school.
“What are your plans for tonight, Princess?” Ryo asks casually, holding hands with his now lover.
“Kazuya said he called my family telling them I was to sleep at his tonight. So I guess I’m free?”
“I’ll have to thank Kame,” he says. “Ok then, this means we can spend the whole night together ~” Ryo sing-songs.
“Yes. I would love to.” Tatsuya tightens his grip on Ryo’s hand and they happily walk away to somewhere only they know.
