Title: A Place In The Sun
Fandom: KAT-TUN and NewS
Pairing: Ryoda (Obviously!) and mentions of Akame.
Genre: Friendship, humor, fluff and maybe a hint of some kind of romance.
Rating: PG/PG-13 maybe…
Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. Bad summary… sorry!
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot, but I sure wish I owned more...
Inspiration: The nice, warm and sunny weather that has been with me the last few days and the song Summer Time by NewS is also a source of inspiration kinda...

A/N: A quick update before I go to bed. Hope you all will enjoy it, will probably be a week until next update or maybe a bit more. I have a lot to do at the moment, but I'll do my best to give my story some time now and then.
Now, please enjoy my update ^^

Chapter 6
They sat in silence for quite some time before Ryo broke the silence; it was almost completely dark by now.
"You and me sitting like this, it is almost like a scene from some sappy romance movie. And of course you are the girl"
"Yeah I guess." Ueda chuckled, not even bothered by the fact that Ryo had sort of insulted him. "Jin, and I guess the rest of our band mates, would go crazy if they saw us now."
Ueda turned his head to face Ryo just to realize how close they were sitting. Ryo was sitting just a few centimeters away from him and with his face towards Ueda, making their faces now only inches away. "Why are you sitting so close to me?" He asked confused, he really hadn't realized the closeness before.
"You want me to move away a bit?" Ryo asked looking straight into Ueda's eyes and tilting his head a little to his left.
"No, it's okay. I just got a bit surprised that's all." Ueda smiled turning his face towards the sea again.
"So, for how long do you plan for us to sit here?" Ryo asked barely managing to get the words out before he yawned.
"You sleepy?" Ueda asked and turned his head towards Ryo again.
"Yeah" Ryo said and yawned once again. "Aren't you?"
"Not really, but I guess we should walk back before you fall asleep." Ueda said and got up from the sand. He reached down his hand to offer Ryo his help getting up, and Ryo took it firmly with a sleepy smile.

The sleepiness was slowly getting to Ryo more and more, and soon Ueda found himself with an arm around Ryo's waist helping him to walk towards the room. It was kinda nice walking like this and it didn't feel weird at all.
"You're nice." Ryo mused, leaning his head on Ueda's shoulder.
"Uh, thanks?" Ueda answered, surprised by the sudden compliment.
"You're a lot nicer than I thought you'd be." Ryo continued. "I mean not that I ever thought of you as being mean or anything like that. I just never thought you'd be nice like this, letting me lean on you and stuff. I'm glad you're my friend now." Ueda didn't reply, he just smiled for himself. "You're a lot nicer than Jin and Yamapi. Sure they would let me lean on them if I was sleepy..."
"Drunk more like it" Ueda mumbled, cutting in.
"But they would definitely laugh at me at the same time, and maybe letting me go for a moment to see if I'll fall down. But I somehow feel that you'd never do that, you're too nice for that and cause of that I like you. Yes I like you Ueda Tatsuya…" Ryo's voice died down and he got silent.
"You like me?" Ueda asked surprised and turned his head towards Ryo just to see that the other had closed his eyes. "Don't you dare fall asleep on me or I'll let you sleep outside."
"You would never do that, cause you're nice" Ryo replied drowsy. "If you were Jin you probably would, but you're not. You're beautifuller than him and nicer."
"Beautifuller is not a word." Ueda couldn't help but say, as he felt how his cheeks slowly started to burn. If he didn't know it was Ryo talking he would be sure that the others long rambling about him would be a sort of confession speech. He would think that the other was in love with him. Sure it had happened quite a lot of things during the day that could indicate that very fact, but no it couldn't be that way. He would just brush this whole thing over and forget about it; Ryo would probably not remember anything of it tomorrow anyways. And it was most likely he meant that he liked him as a friend and nothing more than that.
"Are we back yet?" Ryo asked making Ueda wake up from his thoughts.
"Yeah, we're just about to step inside."

"Here we go." Ueda said as he helped Ryo onto the bed. It had been quite a struggle to get him up the stairs. "Take of your trousers and go to sleep."
Ryo didn't reply, he just lay there and had probably already fallen asleep. Ueda sighed, and sat down on the bed next to Ryo, should he take off his trousers or let him sleep in them. He decided to take them off; after all if he was the one in Ryo's place he would want someone to take them off. It's not really comfortable sleeping in a pair of jeans. He slowly reached out and started to undo the zipper, carefully not to wake Ryo up. He slowly pulled the trousers down, it felt a bit weird and he couldn't help but blush a little, his hands starting to shake a little. But he managed to get the trousers of the sleeping man without waking him up. He folded them nicely and put them on the floor before he walks out to the bathroom just outside the room to brush his teeth. When he got back a few minutes later, Ryo was still fast asleep. He smiled, and then took off his own trousers; it would be nice with some sleep after such a long day. He lay down on the bed next to the other and pulled the blanket over them both, just as he was about to drift off to dreamland he felt Ryo moving in his sleep unconsciously warping an arm around Ueda pulling him closer. Ueda froze not daring to move, what should he do? Should he try to move Ryo away, or should he just let it be? But before Ueda had made up his mind about it, he fell asleep.

Ueda woke up by his phone going off, at first he tried to ignore it but the noise got too overbearing, so he had no other choice but to get up from bed and turn it off. As he tried to get up he felt something holding him back by his waist and as he turned to see what it was he got shocked to see the arms of Ryo wrapped around him firmly. Ueda blinked a few times as to make sure he it wasn't just him hallucinating, and he wasn't.
"Uhm… Nishikido wake up!" Ueda said getting back to his senses and remembering why he was in a bed with Ryo. He tried to get out of the firm grip while calling out the others name. Finally Ryo woke up and when he saw Ueda he blinked, just as Ueda had done just minutes before.
"Could you maybe, let go of me?" Ueda asked.
"Huh? What?" Ryo asked before he realized what he was doing and quickly let go of Ueda. "I'm sorry." But hid didn't seem that bothered about how he had woken up with his arm around Ueda.
"It's okay" Ueda smiled and got up from the bed. "But we have to get up now. The bus back to Tokyo is departing in about an hour."
"Can't we just stay here another day?" Ryo asked while yawning and stretching his arms above his head.
"Do you know how much trouble we'll be in if we skip another day of work?" Ueda said while putting on his trousers. "We probably already are in a lot of it."
"But it's so nice just being here not having to worry about anything" Ryo said as he slowly made his way out of bed.
"Yeah, I'm already longing for my vacation to start." Ueda said walking over to the mirror next to the wardrobe and to take a look of himself. He looked anything but fresh. His hair was a mess, not having anything to brush or fix it with, and his shirt was dirty and sweaty. But thanks to the deodorant they bought yesterday, he didn't smell that bad.
"You have any plans for your vacation?" Ryo asked reaching out for his trousers on the floor.
"No, not really, just relax and not think about work." Ueda said looking at Ryo over his shoulder. "How about you?"
"No, probably spend my time with Jin and Yamapi or something" Ryo shrugged and pulled up his trousers.
"You wanna take that trip together that I talked about yesterday?" Ueda asked turning around and smiled.
"What trip?" Ryo asked, not remembering the promise Ueda had made him last night.
"I promised you that I would take you on a trip and that you could swim in the sea as much as you wanted." Ueda explained, still smiling.
"Oh, that's right. You promised me that when you wouldn't let me skinny-dip, right?" Ryo said and smiled back. "Thanks for that by the way, for not letting me skinny-dip. I was more drunk than I thought I'd be, I actually don't remember much after that…"
"You're welcome." Ueda smiled, just as he thought Ryo was not remembering the part where he talked in a way that could be misunderstood as a confession. And Ueda was not going to mention it, since it would probably ruin their new friendship.
"So do you wanna go on that trip on your summer vacation?" Ueda asked again. "We can probably get the other ones to tag along as well. It would almost be like a school trip, but with alcohol and no supervisor."
"Sounds like a plan to me." Ryo smiled.
"Good, so are you ready?" Ueda asked taking up his bag from the floor. "We should get something to eat before we leave."
"Ready and starving" Ryo said grabbing a hold of his own bag as Ueda opened the door.

"Can I taste some of yours?" Ryo asked; they were sitting down in the restaurant having breakfast. He had already finished his own meal, but was still hungry, while Ueda had more than half of his food left.
"No" Ueda smiled and put some food into his mouth.
"Why?" Ryo asked a pout threatening to show.
"Just because." Ueda said smirking. "Just order some more if you want some"
"I don't want too, and we probably wont have time for that. So give me some." Ryo said and reached over the table to grab some from the other's plate. But Ueda was faster and moved his plate away before Ryo even got the chance to grab something of it.
"Oh, come on!" Ryo growled annoyed, standing up and leaning over the table in an attempt to reach out for the plate.
"No! Stop behaving like a child." Ueda said trying his best to protect his food. "This is mine, and I am going to have it all myself."
"You're so selfish" Ryo said still leaning over the table, and was almost reaching the plate when he lost his balance and fell forward across the table and unto Ueda. The plate flew out of Ueda's hands and landed on the floor, while Ryo's face came crashing onto Ueda's and their lips meet for the second time in less than 24 hours. They looked at each other in shock but none of them pulled away, their lips firmly pressed together.
