Chapter 1

Love Into Drunkenness
Chapter 2

Ueda woke up with a headache. Not really remembering the previous night, he checked if he was still clothed. He released a sigh when he felt his clothes on. You never know how stupid you can get while being drunk.

He then looked around him. He didn’t recognize the room. The room was kind of messy, some books and clothes laying here and there. He also saw a lot of music sheets, and a guitar in the corner.

Then, everything came back as a flashback. The announcement, the escape, meeting Ryo, drinking, the drunken talk and…

Ueda cursed when he realized. Ryo knew.

All these years, he had managed to keep it inside and one night, one single drunken night and the secret was out.

Ueda didn’t know what to think. What he would say to Ryo? Could he say the truth or tell a lie?

Ueda decided that it was better to just face the situation and see what it would give. It couldn’t be that bad…

Getting out of he room, the boxer founded his way to the kitchen where the younger man was eating breakfast. Ryo saw Ueda arrived and said: “You’re awake? Your head doesn’t hurt much?”

Surprised by those words and Ryo’s voice’s softness, Ueda barely shook his head.

"Are you hungry?" asked Ryo.

Ueda said a small "yes" and sat next to the other man. A plate was already for him to eat.

Eating slowly, stealing glances at Ryo, Ueda didn't fully understand the situation. Why Ryo wasn't saying a thing about yesterday?

Ueda thought that the best solution was to ask him.

After five minutes of gathering his courage, Ueda finally asked: "Nishikido, why aren't you asking about yesterday?"

Ueda saw the Osakan froze. After seconds that felt like eternity, Ryo finally reacted by saying: "So you remember."

"Yes, I have the habit to always remember what I did while being drunk."

Ryo said a small "Oh." and didn't say more.

"So, you're not asking?" added Ueda when he saw that Ryo wasn't saying anything more.

"Well, I would lie to say I'm not curious about it, like how it happen and everything but if you don't want to talk about it, I shouldn't push you to tell me."

It was Ueda's turn to be silent. He was happy yet sad. He was happy that the younger didn't force him to pour his feelings yet he was sad that he couldn't say it. Now that the secret was out, wouldn't be better to say all that was in his mind instead of only leaving a piece of the puzzle?

"I don't know how it started." started to say Ueda, not looking at Ryo. "Before I knew it, I always wanted to be near him. We were only seeing each other at work but his smiles were so... I can explain how it made me feel. I felt warm and happy.

And I was still trying to find myself, as you kindly pointed on national television," he saw the Osakan half smirked, "so being around him who was always so natural, I felt... better... I guess.

We were creating songs together and talking a lot. And even if we would fight over the stupidest things, the two of us had, and still have, a hot temper, we would always make up and be friends again and... I can't explain."

Ueda paused to look at Ryo. The other man was looking at him, waiting him to continue his story, so he continued.

"I always knew he had something going on with Kame. They were close. So close that at time, I got jealous. But I denied my feelings. Thinking it was only friendship.

When him and Kame started to drift apart, I could sense that he wasn't happy about it. And even if they were drifting apart, they were still... I don't know. It was still there. Their feelings. It was still in the air around them.

Then, the idiot left. I was broken and it's at that time precisely that I knew that I couldn't deny anymore. I loved him more than a friend. At that time, I tried to be stronger, started boxing, and I had kind of founded who I wanted to be but...

It wasn't enough. I had lost. When he came back, I knew, at that moment when his eyes locked with Kame's for the first time in six months, that I had lost. He would go with Kame. I wasn't really mad, I knew it would happen but it hurt.

So, I tried to forget about him. I tried various relationships but I couldn't love those guys as much I loved him so I decided to give up on love. I thought I was over it but when yesterday I saw them together... I mean really together, hand in hand, smiling brightly, all the pain came back at once. I couldn't bare it.

And I hate it. I want to be their friend, to support them because they love each other and can be happy together but I can't help to love him. I can't help to want him all for me and I hate it."

Ueda sniffed a couple of time, trying not to cry. Ryo was simply watching him, unreadable.

"What are you going to do now?" asked Ryo carefully after he was sure that Ueda wouldn't cry.

"I'll try to be strong, to get over it and to be happy for them." Ueda said, half smiling, tears still threatening to fall.

"Well... if you need someone to talk to... or even to drink with... I'm here."

Ueda looked at the Osakan. The man wasn't looking at him, embarrass about what he just said.

The boxer never thought of Ryo like someone he could talk too. He was a colleague, someone he saw time to time, that was in the same company as him and that was friend when the man he couldn't forget. That ended there. But because of last night, and of course his long confession he did moments ago, he saw in Ryo someone he could talk to, dare he say, a friend.

Ueda smiled. "I wouldn't mind drinking and talking another time."

Ryo smirked. "Well, I'm not sure about drinking anymore. I don't really want to hear "Tacchan the fairy believer”’s theories."

"Shut up." Ueda said, glaring as Ryo started to laugh.

A comfortable silence passed as the two were finishing breakfast.

"Oh damn it, I'll be late!" exclaimed suddenly Ryo, getting up. "Ueda, not to put you out but..."

"No, I understand. I should get going too. I have a photo shoot in two hours anyway."

Ueda finished his last bite and went toward the door. Taking his bag, Ueda said softly: "Nishikido"

"What?"

"Thank you."

Without more said, the older man got out of the apartment thinking that it was a weird friendship he had started with the Osakan.

. . . .

Arriving where the photo shoot took place, Ueda first saw KAT-TUN's manager, not looking happy at all.

"Good morning!" the boxer said carefully.

"Ah! Ueda-san! One who wasn't an idiot who drank to much!"

When Ueda was about to ask, he saw Jin, Koki and Nakamaru, each one sitting in a corner, looking in intense pain. At that moment, Ueda realized that he was lucky that his hangover had pass the moment he started to talk to Ryo.

"What a coincidence." he thought. He then looked around to see Kame talking to a smiling (as always) Taguchi.

"Hello Tacchan!" said Taguchi.

Kame turned around and smiled to Ueda. The boxer returned that smile and was about to say “Hello” when he felt a head on his shoulder.

"Tacchan, please, next time those idiots want to go drink, bring me to the gym with you." said Nakamaru, trying to find a way to stand up by himself.

"You weren't complaining yesterday!" exclaimed Koki.

"Well, now, I am."

Ueda smiled, letting the man in pain on his shoulder.

"So, how was boxing?" asked Kame.

"I didn't go." Ueda cursed silently to have slipped the truth.

"EEEEEEEEEHHHHHHH!?!?!?" screamed Jin to then curse shortly about how he shouldn't scream when his head hurt so much. "If you didn't go, why you didn't come with us?"

"I started to run and I ran into someone so we talked and before we knew it, it was late." said smoothly Ueda, feeling bad to lie to his band mates but he kept telling himself that it wasn't a complete lie.

"Who was that person?" asked innocently Taguchi.

“KAT-TUN-san, please go change.”

Ueda sighed silently, thinking that he had been saved. After that, no one really remembered the subject and went to everyone’s occupation.

AN: I was so happily surprised when so many persons left a comment! Now, I'm just scared to disappoint you guys... *sigh* I'll do my best! Hope you liked it!
