FRENCH SHOES!!!

Ok, I need opinions, I am doing this costume, the orange one. and I need shoes for it. Since you cant see them, its up for debate. I'm thinking black (easier to find, and to match the black in her bow) and historical (generally buckles were in). I looked at the costumer, and it was a bust, so here is what I've found online:

HISTORICALLY, IN GENERAL, BUCKLES WERE IN, AND MAYBE SOME BUSTLES. BUT ONLY SOMETIMES.
