selling costumes?

So, I know a lot of you guys have sold costumes. I've recently down-sized space, and I would love some pocket change, sooooo.

What is the best way to sell costumes/dvds/anime crap?

Thats not bad! So just posting a list, and being all, "who wants mah stuff?". What type of crap were you able to sell, and for how much, if you dont mind me asking <3

The bummer is all my crap is in Albany, so I'd have to go up there to get it ready to ship to anyone if they wanted it.

Most of the costumes I've sold (to people who weren't friends) were on the Cosplay.com marketplace. You get some stupid people who totally jerk you around, but that's pretty par for the course with cosplayers, haha. On the plus side, I've had a number of people who don't even do the Cosplay.com thing find the costumes, so I guess they get at least some outside interest.

So that works? How do you typically price shit? Thanks lady!

I basically disregard how much money/time I actually spent on it and price it a little higher than I think an average anime fan might be willing to pay, so I can come down a bit if I need to. I also check eBay and see what the same costume is going for from HK, and take that into consideration, regarding quality vs. price and all that. Most of mine have fallen into the $125-300 range. Good luck!

Does that range really work? I can't imagine them paying more than $50 for anything! How quickly do things sell on there? All my costumes are up north, so if I put them up now, and cant ship them for two weeks, do you think that would be a problem?
