Well, at first glance, I would say yes. But after staring, the guy's eyebrows (in the picture on the right) are a lot more pronounced/puffy looking on top whereas the left one's brows are rather flat. The right's eye sockets look bigger too... Chin is different too. Nose is similar. But all these things differences could be due to airbrushing or lighting, right? Who is/are he/they?

The one on the left is Joel McHale (Community, Soup) and the one on the right is Dave from 2001: A Space Odyessy.

I casually mentioned while watching 2001: A Space Odyessy that I thought that guy looked like Joel McHale and Erik said he thought they didn't look alike at all.

The jaws are similar, but the man on the right has more pronounced cheekbones.

I was going to say yes, the then I read the other comments and now I'm noticing everything they pointed out and they look totally different...well poo.
