A couple of nights ago, I noticed that the pressure of my boiler was just under 3 bar. Since the boiler was off at the time, this was a bit of a worry - normally, it's supposed to sit at about 1 bar ( Read more... )

Most boilers have a pressure relief valve which is 3 bar and will dump pressure as soon as it hits that.

Of course yours might be a 5 bar prv.

No, it's a 4 bar. Turns out that it was chucking water down the overflow outside too...
