I appreciate that this wasn't overwrought and overly dramatic (as sometimes happens with detective show fics) but it was simply what it was using broad strokes and saying so much with them. yay!!
I haven't watched either R&I or Castle. I found my way here through a link someone posted. Just good to read a story by you again.
" Snyder Sainsbury, principal-murderer, well, principal-manslaughterer, disqualified history teacher, and all around dim bulb, had a gun aimed right at Rick's chest. Kate couldn't see him around the corner of the stairwell, but she assumed. Rick was the bigger threat, with the bigger mouth.
Despite how quickly they'd followed Synder, he'd beaten them, and it took every ounce of will Kate had not to pull the trigger, to fill him with lead and watch him fall.
No one would miss him.
But he might get a shot off, and then it would be Rick's chest, wet with blood. Blood on Kate's hands. She shook her head. "
This was my favorite part. I so love your snark. Snorted my coffee as I read this. Thank you. :)
Thank you! Eee, I always love it especially when you read my stories.
I agree detective show fics can be overwrought. I at some points wished I had a little more drama, but it wasn't there in the characters, and they were being awesome in my head, so. It was really fun. :D
aaaaaaahhhh!!! two of my favourite fandoms IN ONE!!! This makes me very very happy, I loved it. And Castle going away to be a real cop with Jane training him, it's all so perfect. Love what you've done, this is so good!!
Dude, epic feedback. This is wonderful. It totally brightened my day.
I loved it. Not just this this, but you know that you wrote me fic. Thank you, baby. ::grins::
You're welcome. I really had fun, thinking about you and writing for you.
I love Maura's completely impractical practicalness here. Does that even make sense? I'm not sure, but I love it anyway. It's like if she can logic the situation out, she can make Jane be safe. And yet...furniture rearranging on the Titanic. Or so it seems. :)
Yes. I love the way you put that. Maura is completely astute and accurate and yet... still not helping.
I'm so, so glad you like my Castle voice. It wouldn't have worked without that. He's so babbly and overpowering that way. I kinda liiiike him.
Maybe I just secretly want you to write more Castle fic. Oops.
OMG secret revealed! You could only be more exposed if you put that on twitter!
How can his delusions be so charming and yet so far from reality, but earnest at the same time and yet not have the universe implode? He's fictional. :
