can't seem to escape being an animal nurse

When my ride came to pick me up for game tonight, Gracie had to chase my dog down, as her visiting mother had let him out unsupervised. Not her fault. She didn't know that he jumps the fence if no one's waiting at the door to let him in. *thunk* Oh, I'd have had hysterics. Poor puppy. He's okay though?

Reminds me how I'm always having to tell Nick and mom to Shut The Damn Door Already when they're leaving/coming back in. They always pause to stick the keys back in a pocket/take off a coat/drop their bag. We have 3 cats who used to be outdoor kitties and miss the life, and 3 dumb ones who think going outside is perfectly safe, until that loud car speeds by at 40mph on a 25mph street. The last cat is smart enough to wait until her Master takes her outside.

Rule #1 - Always know where the cats are in relation to any open door. Preferably locked in a closet upstairs.

He's acting much better than he was last night and this morning. He perked up after I took him out back and he remembered that he does in fact like being out there.

Then Gracie came over with hydrogen peroxide. We had fun with that.

Oh good. <3 Give him cuddles for me?

Yeah, it's a blast getting it on a cat, too. Precious has learned to run when she sees a single Q-tip.

Of course.

It was terribly pathetic. He gave up trying to flinch away and just curled up over Gracie's lap, giving us the most miserable looks.
