A Fangirl's Rant on "Final Fantasy Type-0" II
I'm sick. Can't take a nap because my symptoms will get even worse if I lie down. (T_T) I've decided to rant some more about the PSP game Final Fantasy Type-0 after about 2 weeks of playing it.
First off, the opening sequence... holy crap on a sandwich!! It was the most epic thing I've ever seen on a PSP screen! Odin was the devil on a 6-legged horse! And Class 0 rising from the flames like a phoenix from its ashes... Epic. Pure epicness. Severe goosebumps.
I recall one reviewer called Type-0 "one hell of a ride." I can now agree to those words 100%. It is a devastatingly fun game. Jeez! I'm already having so much fun just grinding around on the world map, leveling up my characters and collecting phantoma! That's saying a lot because I normally hate grinding! XD I'm the type that levels all the characters equally. Right now, everyone is Level 28.
After playing and switching around with party members, I've found the perfect team for me. In my previous post, I said something about always using Ace, Seven, and Nine. Turns out, Nine was pretty difficult for me to use. I absolutely ADORE him, but I ended up replacing his spot with Rem. She was a really big surprise! Not only is Rem beginner-friendly, she is agile, powerful, and most of all, incredibly useful when it comes to magic. Her MP bar is a whopping 900+ right now! That's nearly triple the amount of some other characters!
So I've divided the class into teams. Team Alpha consists of Ace, Seven, and Rem. Team Beta has Sice, Nine, and Cinque. Oh, forgot to mention.. I found Sice to be very good too. Cinque is kinda hard to use, but for what she lacks in agility, she makes up in strength. The girl is crazy powerful!! (0_o) Anyways, Team Gamma is a back-up party consisting of Cater, Eight, Machina, and King. The rest of the class (Queen, Jack, Trey, and Deuce) could not prove themselves worthy enough to be included in my three main teams. XD Jack is powerful, but he moves waaaaaaa~y too slow and has really low MP. Queen is a short-range attacker and I get kinda frustrated with that. You have to get really close to an enemy to actually have her hit it. Trey's arrows never hit their mark and Deuce is utterly useless to me. She has low health, low defense, so-so magic, low strength, and dumb attacks. She dies so fast. Don't get me wrong, I love all the characters, but I prefer some over others. ^^;
Story-wise, I'm currently on Chapter V. The stupid bald guy (can't remember his name) tricks Machina into thinking that Class 0 is soley responsible for his brother's death, poor little Aria was shot, Class 0 was framed for the assassination of the Queen Andoria, Souryuu agrees to an alliance with Byakko, and now their eyes have turned to Suzaku for an all-out attack. (O口O) The plot just keeps getting better and better. I've gained some respect for Machina. He's not too bad. But I'm so worried about Kurasame. Stupid bald guy is sending him out on the front-line to "redeem his honor" or something idiotic like that! Nooooo~!! Why am I getting such a bad feeling!?
Well, I think I'm done for now. I'll probably post another rant after I finish the game or something. But I don't want it to end. I'm too scared to know what will happen. Square Enix is infamous for killing off their beloved main characters. I know for sure that at least one person from Class 0 is going to die. I hope it's not Ace... *sob*
