CATCH ME
Tatsuya stretched slowly, lazily, sliding his limbs over the sheets and curling his legs up as he rolled onto his side, cat-like, watching as his lover slowly opened his eyes, dragging his hand over his face.
“Ohayou, Ryo,” he said, his voice even sounding like a purr to Ryo’s sleep dulled senses.
“Mmmm, ohayou Tat-chan,” he murmured, shifting closer to kiss him. Tatsuya smiled into the kiss, winding his arms around his neck, fitting their bodies flush together and threading his fingers into Ryo’s hair. Surprised at his sudden fervour Ryo wound his arms around Tatsuya’s hips, pressing them closer together and moaned as Tatsuya’s tongue pulled his own into a dance that left him dizzy as they parted to breathe.
“Wow, what was that for?” Tatsuya smirked and stroked his hair, threading his fingers through it, enjoying the sheen on his lover’s black hair as pin pricks of morning sunlight glinted off it.
“Nothing, I just love kissing you,” Ryo grinned and lazily devoured his mouth again, swallowing Tatsuya’s surprised moan and caressing slow circles on his back through the wide necked t-shirt he wore over blue boxers he could have sworn were too big for his svelte hips, before sliding down to press tantalising open-mouthed kisses to Tatsuya’s collar bone, invoking a sharp intake of breath.
“So do I,” he whispered, leaning up again to kiss his forehead. He stroked his hair, watching his princess smile and stretch against the sheets again, moving one foot slowly back and forth against the fabric, enjoying the sensation.
“You’re very energetic for this time in the morning, why are you even awake?” Tatsuya grinned and rolled lazily onto his back, reminding Ryo again of a cat.
“I don’t know I just woke up, I suppose I’m just used to being awake early, what time is it anyway?” Ryo craned his neck over his shoulder to look at the alarm clock. 9:15.
“Quarter past nine, you can go back to sleep if you want, today’s your day off right?” Tatsuya regarded him silently for a moment, his expression unreadable.
“It’s your day off too right?” Ryo blinked.
“Yeah, it is, why?” Tatsuya didn’t respond for a moment.
“Do you have any plans?” Ryo rolled onto his stomach, leaning up on his elbows and watching Tatsuya’s eyes slide over the ceiling, his hands curling around the edge of his pillow above his head.
“No, why?” suddenly Tatsuya was smiling at him.
“What if we just stayed here all day?” Ryo blinked at him, slightly taken aback.
“Here? As in, here in bed?”
“Yeah, we’d have to move for food and stuff, obviously, but if there’s nothing you need to do…” his voice trailed off as he looked at Ryo’s face, now with a similar unreadable expression.
“Okay,” Tatsuya blinked.
“Okay?” Ryo nodded and scooped Tatsuya into his arms, slowly closing the distance between them.
“Okay, let’s stay here, hell we can always order food in,” Tatsuya raised one eyebrow.
“Ryo do you realise how unhealthy that is?” Ryo laughed and kissed the man beneath him, rolling easily until he was lying over him, their legs entangled, his torso propped up by his elbows, his fingers playing over Tatsuya’s wrists.
“Do you realise how much I don’t care, it’s only for today,” Tatsuya found himself unable to protest when Ryo leaned down and kissed him slowly, deeply, sliding his tongue past his lips and sliding one hand down his side to his waist.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“R-Ryo…”
Ryo chose not to respond and instead continued to nibble at Tatsuya’s neck, the fingers of one hand playing with the shell of his ear while the other trailed across his quivering stomach muscles, slowly crawling their way lower, teasing his hipbone, sliding around to the small of his back to push their hips achingly closer. Tatsuya bit his lip and took a shuddering breath, trying to force his thoughts into a straight line.
“Ryo…your…ngh…your phone…”
Ryo leant up and fused his mouth to Tatsuya’s, pulling him into such a deep kiss Tatsuya’s brain began to fizz and spark in his head as he struggled to remember what he’d been saying. With a moan he wrenched his mouth away, staring fixedly at the ceiling and breathing hard.
“Damnit Ryo, answer your phone or whoever it is will keep calling,”
Ryo sighed and looked down at his princess’s flushed but stern face and dropped a light kiss to the end of his nose and rolled off him, crawling to the edge of the bed to grab his phone which was quietly vibrating and playing Haruka Mirai e.
As Ryo flipped open the phone and settled on his stomach Tatsuya crawled over and draped himself over his back, resting his chin on his shoulder and playing with his hair.
“Yeah? Oh, hi Pi…what?…no I’m not…yes I am…well duh!”
Tatsuya raised one eyebrow as he watched half the conversation between Ryo and his best friend.
“I’m not moving today Pi, ask Jin…oh, ok…well you have fun then…yeah, see ya,” Ryo flipped the phone shut and dropped it over the side of the bed, rolling awkwardly beneath Tatsuya until he lay looking up into his soft face, framed by the rich brown bangs as they hung down, almost touching Ryo’s cheeks.
“Did Yamashita-kun want to do something with you today?” he asked, still playing with Ryo’s hair. Ryo smiled and leaned into his hand, wrapping his arms tight around Tatsuya’s waist.
“Kinda, he said he was going shopping with Jin,” Tatsuya tipped his head onto one side and averted his eyes.
“You could have gone with them you know,” Ryo raised one eyebrow, moving one hand to caress slow circles on the small of Tatsuya’s back through his t-shirt, slowly pushing it up until he could rub circles directly onto his skin, grazing it with his fingernails, relishing in the smooth, soft feeling under his fingers.
“No I couldn’t, I’m staying with you today,”
“You don’t have to, you can go see your friends if you want,” Ryo just smiled and rolled his eyes, sliding his hand down below the waistband of Tatsuya’s boxers with ease, they really were too big for his hips.
“But I don’t want, I want to stay with you, all day, I don’t want to go anywhere without you today, I want to stay here…” suddenly he rolled them over, holding Tatsuya’s hands above his head, slipping on knee between Tatsuya’s thighs and smirking at his slightly dazed expression.
“I want to stay here and make this the best day off you’ve ever had,” he whispered leaning down to kiss his princess, who smiled into the kiss and rolled his hips a little, making Ryo gasp, nuzzling his head into Tatsuya’s neck. Tatsuya smirked.
“Likewise,” he said softly, lacing his fingers into Ryo’s where they were still pinning him down to the pillows.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Tatsuya clawed his hand into the pillow below his head, as the world gradually came back into focus, breathing hard, feeling the sweat run off him, squirming and smiling at the sensation of Ryo’s shaky, measured breaths against the crook of his neck. Rolling his eyes he slid his arms lazily over Ryo’s back, running them up and down his skin as he felt Ryo’s lips slide over his collarbone.
“You’re insatiable Nishikido,” he said breathlessly, looking up at the ceiling.
“Only as far as you’re concerned,” Tatsuya laughed and stretched again, gently shoving Ryo off him and rolling onto his side, tracing the lines of Ryo’s chest with a forefinger.
“Still, could you make an effort in future not to kill me via orgasm?” Ryo laughed and slung an arm over Tatsuya’s waist bringing him closer.
“You’ve only got yourself to blame for that,” he said smiling.
“Oh sure,” Tatsuya muttered closing his eyes and revelling in the atmosphere. Although they’d woken up almost three hours ago they still hadn’t moved, their bed was pleasantly warm, he could smell the unique and dizzying scent that was Ryo’s skin and the blankets over his legs were comfortable, but they were nothing compared to the arm around his waist.
“You hungry yet?” he asked, slowly opening his eyes to find Ryo watching him with a soft expression that set off fireworks in his chest.
“For you or for something else?” Ryo asked easily, dancing his fingers over the sensitive exposed skin of Tatsuya’s side. Squirming and giggling softly, Tatsuya started to sit up, rolling onto his back and pushing himself up onto his elbows.
“Something edible, you crazy sex fiend!” he said, still laughing. Ryo suddenly leant over and licked his stomach, causing Tatsuya to bite his lip as he watched him through half-lidded eyes for a moment before looking up at him with glittering eyes.
“You seem perfectly edible to me,” Tatsuya grinned and pushed himself up properly.
“Seriously, I’ll go get us something, stay here,” Ryo rolled onto his back, fiddling with his pillow as Tatsuya slipped back into the boxers and t-shirt and padded softly through to the kitchen. As he stepped through the doorway he heard the vibrating of another phone along with the opening bars of ordinary.
Picking his phone up he opened the fridge, scanning his eyes over what they had.
“Hello? Oh, Kame, ohayou,”
“Ohayou, Uebo, what’re you up to?”
“Getting some breakfast, why?”
“Me, Jin and Koki are gonna go see a movie or something, Taguchi might come too, you wanna come?”
“No thanks Kame, not today, I’m staying home with Ryo,”
“Oh, is that so? And how’s that going for you?” Tatsuya could practically hear the grin in his voice.
“Very nicely thanks,” he said with a smile.
“Okay then, have fun, say hi for me, see you later,”
“See you Kame,” flipping the phone shut he took out the leftover pasta from the previous night and stuck it in the microwave while he grabbed two forks. He was about to turn back to the microwave when a pair of arms slid around his waist and he smiled and twisted his head to meet Ryo’s gaze.
“Who was on the phone?” he asked.
“Kame, he, Koki and Taguchi are going to see a movie,”
“You didn’t want to go with them?” Tatsuya smiled and reached up to drag his face closer so he could kiss him.
“Nope, and didn’t I tell you to stay in bed?” Ryo pressed his head into Tatsuya’s neck.
“I missed you,” he mumbled. Tatsuya smiled, stroking his hair.
“Baka, go on, food’s almost done, pasta’s okay right?” Ryo nodded and kissed his nose before trailing back to the bedroom. Tatsuya joined him a moment later with the pasta and two mugs of tea on a tray.
Ryo watched him set down the tray on the dresser, accepting his drink and scooting closer as Tatsuya crawled carefully back onto the bed, dragging the covers around their legs.
For a few moments they sat in silence, munching quietly on the pasta and sipping their tea, pressed warmly into each other’s sides. After a while Ryo leant across Tatsuya to put the empty container and their empty mugs on the nightstand and pulled his lover closer, wrapping him in his arms and leaning back on the headrest. Tatsuya smiled and slid and arm across Ryo’s bare stomach, lightly stroking his fingertips over his hipbone, pressing his cheek into his chest.
“So? Now what do you want to do?” Ryo asked threading his fingers through Tatsuya’s hair and relishing the way he squirmed happily at the sensation of Ryo’s fingers stroking his hair, grazing his scalp.
“Why do I get the feeling you already know what you want to do?” Tatsuya asked, his voice faraway as though he were in a world of his own. That was fine by Ryo, as long as he could go with him.
“I always know what I want to do when I’m with you,” Tatsuya smiled and pressed a light kiss to Ryo’s chest.
“Hentai,” he mumbled, tightening his hold.
“You seem sleepy, are you okay? Did I…?” Tatsuya twisted his head to smile up into his concerned lover’s face as he watched him worriedly.
“No, I’m fine, I’m just comfortable, and happy,” Ryo felt a soft, love soaked smile spread gently over his face and he hugged Tatsuya tighter, pressing his face into his hair.
“You’re happy here with me?” Tatsuya returned the hug, and Ryo could feel him smile against his skin.
“I’m always happy here with you,”
Ryo held Tatsuya against him for a few more moments before shifting them so he could see his face.
“How about…we watch a movie?” he was pleased and relieved to see Tatsuya’s face glow with the idea.
“Sure! What film to do you want to watch? I’ll go get it, you want another drink?” Ryo laughed softly and gently gripped Tatsuya’s shoulders, laying him down flat, his head cushioned by two pillows, his hands on either side of his head, a look of wide eyed innocence on his face. Ryo blinked at the adorable expression for a moment and had to restrain himself from attacking him then and there.
Damn you, why are you so cute!?
“You stay here, I’ll get the movie and drinks and anything you want okay? Stay,”
“Eh? But…” Tatsuya blinked and tipped his head onto one side, looking like a delectable little kitten and Ryo’s inner self keeled over backwards at the sight.
“You got the food right? So I’ll do this, stay,” Tatsuya suddenly smirked and raised one eyebrow, all innocence dissolved, replaced with a sly sultry look that made Ryo swallow as he watched his lover’s lips move, trying hard to focus on the words they were forming.
“If I remember correctly I told you to stay put and you didn’t,”
“So set a good example for me, I’ll be two minutes, don’t move,” and he couldn’t resist leaning down and kissing Tatsuya so hard and deep he left him blinking at the ceiling for a second as he got up and moved through to the living room.
There was already a TV-DVD Combi in the bedroom so he just needed to bring a DVD through, and get them something to drink…hot chocolate. Their bed might have been warm, in fact the whole room was a deliciously comfortable temperature, but outside it had suddenly gotten quite cold, after so many days of sun, suddenly the sky was swathed with grey and every so often rain would fall in brief, gentle showers.
Ryo put on the kettle and knelt in front of the shelf that held all their DVDs. What to watch…?
After a moment’s deliberation he decided to take in a selection and let Tatsuya choose and went back to the kitchen to mix up their drinks before holding the handles of both mugs carefully in one hand while he scooped up the small stack of DVDs he had picked out in the other, carrying it all through to the bedroom and setting it down on the dresser.
Looking up he discovered the small unexplainable ever shifting world in Tatsuya’s mind had called him back again. He sat up, one leg crooked beneath him, the other knee drawn up, where he rested his arms, the covers pooled around his ankles as he stared out of the window through the slats and gaps in the blinds, a faraway, peaceful look adorning his beautiful features.
He looks like a painting of surrealism…
He almost didn’t want to announce his presence, or do anything to disturb him thus bringing him back to the little planet his body remained trapped on when his mind spread its wings. But even as he thought about it Tatsuya suddenly turned and smiled gently at him, holding his arms out like a child, a child with a mature face and an ancient soul.
Ryo happily went to him as though he had no choice, gathering the other man into his arms and holding him tight, feeling his muscular arms go around him, hugging him back. He leant back after a moment and smiled down at him, nodding towards the stack of DVDs.
“You pick one,” Tatsuya blinked at him, his eyes wide and child-like again.
“Me? Isn’t there one you want to watch?”
“I don’t mind, I want you to pick,” Tatsuya smiled and shuffled to the edge of the bed, absently flicking his bangs away from his eyes as he squinted at the titles. Ryo leant back against the headboard and rolled his eyes. Trust his Hime to squint at what he couldn’t see rather than put his glasses on.
“Eh? Since when do we have this one?” Tatsuya asked, turning and holding up one of the DVDs. Ryo leant forward and frowned at it.
“I don’t know, I thought it was yours, what with it being French and all,” Tatsuya raised one eyebrow and slowly sounded out the title.
“The Diving Bell and the Butterfly…ok, let’s watch this one, since neither of us have seen it before,” He turned on the TV and put in the DVD, grabbing the remote and crawling back to Ryo’s side where he settled against his lover’s side as Ryo slid an arm around his shoulders. He picked up his drink and drew up his knees as he hit ‘Play’, sipping the hot chocolate and wrapping his hands around the mug.
About ten minutes into the movie, as the main character was having one of his eyes stitch closed, Ryo glanced down at Tatsuya to see him lifting one hand from his mug and raising it absent mindedly to his eye, staring at the screen with only half his vision.
It was the kind of movie that sucked you in as you watched it; Ryo found himself gripping his mug tighter and tighter as he cheered the main character on in his head, glancing sideways every few minutes to watch Tatsuya’s reactions. He seemed totally engrossed, barely blinking as his eyes raced over the subtitles.
Ryo didn’t realise that, when there were no subtitles to follow for a moment, or if he could read them fast enough, Tatsuya glanced over at Ryo, noting how tightly he held his mug, how wide his eyes would go as he followed plot twist after plot twist, saw the look incredulous admiration as the main character proceeded to dictate a memoir with the communication method his speech therapist had taught him, using only his left eye.
When the movie ended Tatsuya slowly closed his eyes and sighed. He drained the last of his hot chocolate, which was now cold and set down his mug and turned to Ryo, wrapping his arms around his waist, resting his head on his shoulder. He heard a soft thunk as Ryo set down his own mug and hugged him back, resting his cheek in Tatsuya’s hair, relishing the feel of his soft brown locks against his skin.
“Would you still love me and take care of me if that happened to me Ryo?” Tatsuya asked absently, having been unable to help himself from admiring not only the main character, but all those around him, especially his wife…he smirked at the memory of the guy’s reaction when the doctor had announced his wife was there to see him: She’s not my wife, she’s the mother of my children.
Ryo poked him in the side, making him twitch.
“Don’t ask stupid questions,” he muttered, kissing the top of his head. Tatsuya smiled and glanced out of the window. Mid afternoon already…
Wordlessly he untangled himself from his lover and went to replace the DVD in its case, setting it down on top of the others in the pile Ryo had brought in. The second his fingers left the plastic DVD case he felt Ryo’s arms go around his waist, squeezing him once before one hand moved down, pressing against him through his shorts and the other slid up under his t-shirt. He moaned as he felt Ryo’s lips on his neck. Pulling him backwards towards the bed Ryo smiled against his skin.
“Mmm, Ryo you’re going to kill me one day…” Tatsuya groaned as he fell backwards, Ryo climbing over him, pressing his hips down as he leant down to Tatsuya’s ear, trailing his fingers in haphazard patterns over his quivering stomach muscles.
“If you weren’t so damn cute and sexy that wouldn’t be a problem,” he growled and Tatsuya shivered, returning the hip-roll and wrapping his arms around Ryo’s neck, sucking lightly on his neck.
“Four times already and it’s barely evening, you’re truly insatiable, he muttered, whirlpools splashing and spinning in his head at the sheer sensation of Ryo’s hips on his.
“Like I said, you’ve only got yourself to blame,”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The sun was setting, the sky was a beautiful periwinkle colour to the east and a glowing, gentle yellow-orange in the west, but from the bedroom window Tatsuya could only see the west between over the tops of the buildings around theirs. He turned as he heard Ryo come back in with a bag full of burgers and fries. He eyed the bag warily. He’d answered the door ten minutes ago, ignoring the delivery guys slightly surprised and amused look as he ran his eyes over the pretty face, dishevelled hair and crumpled t-shirt and shorts.
He had handed the food to Ryo while he paid and wandered back into the bedroom while Ryo found them something to drink.
He handed Tatsuya a beer and a paper bag of fries before sitting cross legged in the middle of the bed, pulling out the plastic wrapped burgers and resting them on the bag to keep any grease off the seats. Tatsuya sighed and sipped his beer.
“I still can’t believe I let you talk me into ordering that,” Ryo glanced up at him and smirked, holding a hand out for him, which Tatsuya was somewhat powerless to refuse, rising from the window sill and taking the proffered hand. Ryo pulled him to lie beside him, his head in his lap.
“Well you did, so stop griping about it and eat, I don’t know why you deny yourself this stuff so much,” Tatsuya raised one eyebrow, looking up at his lover as he munched on his fries.
“You’ve seen how much I eat when I’m really hungry, and that’s healthy stuff,”
“And you never put on a single pound because you go and train it all off!”
“Thank god,” Tatsuya muttered, but he knew Ryo had a point, since he used up so much energy and calories and trained so hard he never put on weight, in fact his band-mates were forever telling him he was too skinny, to which he replied that he wasn’t skinny, he just had no fat. Ryo was always pointing out that it wasn’t good to have no fat; it was why he got cold so easily.
He looked up at Ryo and watched him take a bite out of his burger, setting it down and taking a swig from his own can. He still hadn’t touched his own, too enthralled with watching Ryo to do any more than slowly push fries into his mouth. Eventually Ryo looked down at him and rolled his eyes.
“Quit staring at me and eat your own food,” he muttered, but he was smiling as he handed him his own burger. Tatsuya stuck his tongue out before taking a bite and instantly averting his eyes. Damn but it tasted good…
Ryo looked down at him as he chewed and grinned widely, his teeth glinting in the dim light of the room.
“Knew you loved this stuff,” he said. Tatsuya scowled but didn’t look at him as he took another bite.
They finished eating in comfortable silence and after a while Tatsuya sat up from Ryo’s lap to swig his drink. Screwing up the empty wrappers he shoved them inside the plastic bag and lay back on Ryo’s lap, watching him finish his beer, his eyes drawn to the way his throat moved when he swallowed. He was so caught up remembering how soft Ryo’s skin was and how it felt when he kissed it he didn’t realise Ryo had long since put his empty can down and was watching him with a smirk.
“See something you like Hime?” Tatsuya jumped a little and glanced at him.
“Always,” he muttered.
Ryo leant down to kiss him, running his fingers through his hair, his hand sliding from his neck to his shoulder to his chest, before Tatsuya stopped him.
“Ryo, not again, not yet, okay?” Tatsuya mumbled, averting his eyes. Ryo blinked at him for a moment, then smiled softly, still threading his fingers through his hair.
“Sure Princess, I’m sorry,” Tatsuya looked back at him and smiled, tilting his head into Ryo’s touch.
“It’s okay,”
They stayed in that position for a while, the soft, delicious sensation of Ryo’s fingers in his hair almost putting Tatsuya to sleep. After another few moments though he slowly sat up, looking down at himself and grimacing suddenly.
“I think I need a bath or something,” Ryo laughed at his expression.
“Why do you say that?” Tatsuya sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He got up and began to move around the room, collecting clean shorts and a t-shirt.
“Dunno, I just feel like I need a bath,” Ryo laughed softly again as he watched him.
“Want company?” he asked, expecting a raised eyebrow and a shake of the head, even if his intentions had nothing to do with the fact that Tatsuya was, if possible, even more irresistible soaking wet and breathing irregularly, his sodden hair clinging to his cheeks…
Ryo wrenched himself from the images in his head to see Tatsuya smiling at him.
“Sure,” he blinked as Tatsuya laughed and wandered through into the bathroom, clicking the light on, then followed him.
Tatsuya leaned down and began running the bath before pulling off his t-shirt and throwing it into the wash basket before doing the same with his shorts and sitting on the edge of the tub, testing the water. Ryo sat beside him, wrapping an arm around his waist and trailing the fingers of his other hand through the water before bringing them up and trailing them down his side. Tatsuya squirmed and closed his eyes.
“Ryo, what are you doing?” Ryo grinned and trailed his fingers again, tracing the same line down Tatsuya’s side from his ribs to his hip.
“Testing the water, so? Is it warm enough?” Tatsuya squirmed as Ryo traced his side a third time, this time, keeping hold of his hip and resting his chin on his shoulder.
“Mmmm, I think that’s warm enough,” he said grinning. Slipping from Ryo’s hold he shut off the faucet and swung his legs into the water, hesitating and looking back at Ryo.
“What about you?” Ryo grinned and stood up, shedding his own clothes before climbing in with him.
Tatsuya grinned and splashed his chest before leaning back against him, feeling arms wind themselves around his waist. Smiling he closed his eyes, trailing his hands through the water.
“Feel better?” Ryo asked, lazily drawing invisible patterns on Tatsuya’s stomach.
“Yeah, a bit,” Ryo glanced at him, again he seemed sleepy, tired, leaning against him as though he couldn’t hold himself up, the lines under his eyes and the slight paleness of his skin that he hadn’t been able to really see in the half-light of the bedroom suddenly concerned him.
“Hime, are you sure you’re alright?” Tatsuya smiled without opening his eyes and slowly lifted a hand behind him to Ryo’s hair.
“I’m fine Ryo,” he wasn’t completely convinced.
“You’d tell me if something was wrong, right?” Tatsuya finally opened his eyes and sat up, twisting to look at him.
“Ryo, of course I would, what’s wrong?” Ryo reached out and pulled him closer, lifting handfuls of water in one cupped hand and letting them wash over Tatsuya’s back and shoulders.
“You just seemed so tired, and a little pale, I just wanted to make sure, I wasn’t too rough on you was I?” he felt somewhat relieved to feel Tatsuya laughing softly against his chest.
“No, I’m fine, I promise,” Ryo smiled and kissed the top of his head. Why was he feeling so damn sentimental all of a sudden? The overwhelming urge to gather Tatsuya into his arms and take care of him had been raging in his head all day.
Sighing his lifted Tatsuya off his chest and reached for the shampoo.
“Here, I’ll wash your hair for you,”
Letting Ryo tip a generous amount of shampoo onto his head and knead his fingers through his hair, rubbing against his scalp and down his neck, combing through his hair, Tatsuya smiled and shut his eyes again, revelling in the sensation, aching into the touch like a decadent cat.
He pressed his eyes shut as Ryo tipped more handfuls of water over his head, combing his fingers through to get rid of all the suds. Once it was completely clear Ryo ran his fingers through it, staring at the sheen, watching the ends curling around his fingers. Tatsuya turned awkwardly until he was kneeling in front of Ryo, between his legs.
Wordlessly he reached over to the stand beside the sink, picking up a comb, before settling himself into Ryo’s lap, his knees on either side of his hips. Ryo moved his knees together so Tatsuya could sit back on them and watched, speechless as Tatsuya tipped water over his head and began to gently pull the comb through it.
“You washed your hair last night, if you wash it too often it gets too dry,” he mumbled, not taking his eyes off his task. Once he had completely combed through Ryo’s hair, leaving lying in soft, silky waves on his head and a little way down the back of his neck he curled his hand around the nape of his neck and pulled him closer, kissing him slowly, languidly, deeply, sucking on his tongue and swallowing his moan. Tatsuya pulled back and gazed into the deep brown pools that were locked on his face, hoping to send the message he’d normally be too self conscious to voice aloud:
Thank you for worrying about me, I love you.
Sensing the significance behind both the kiss and the look in Tatsuya’s eyes Ryo blinked and smiled, sending back his own unspoken declaration.
I love you so much, always stay my Hime.
Smiling Tatsuya rose from the water and sat on the edge, reaching for his towel when he realised there was only one towel for them to use. Noticing the pause in Tatsuya’s movements Ryo followed his gaze to the lone towel hanging over the edge of the sink and smirked. He stood and grabbed the towel, wrapping it around his waist, stepping out of the bath and grinning over his shoulder as Tatsuya raised one eyebrow at him.
“Hang on a second, I’ll get another towel,” Tatsuya rolled his eyes but was powerless to stop the smile that spread across his face.
After a moment Tatsuya stood from the bath and turned to remove the plug, letting the water out of the tub. Shivering he turned to look back through the door into their bedroom, the floor around the bathtub was wet and slick with the water that ran off his body when he stood up and as he turned his feet slid out from under him sending him toppling over sideways towards the sink…
Barely a second before his head connected with the edge of the sink his fall stopped and he was left staring wide eyed at the porcelain that was less than an inch from his eyes
“Hime, are you okay?”
Ryo shifted his hold, straightening up and bringing Tatsuya with him. When he could see his face properly he saw his eyes were wide and unfocused, and as he went to open his mouth to ask again if he was okay he became aware of the vice-like grip Tatsuya had on his arms.
“Tatsuya, you’re okay, calm down,” Ryo pulled him through into their bedroom, leading him to sit on the bed, where he sat, on his knees, staring at the coverlet, though he’d managed to let go of Ryo’s arms, he hadn’t blinked and he hadn’t said anything. Ryo watched him, chewing his lip, clueless as to what to say to snap him out of it.
Tatsuya shivered, he would never have expected something like that to be so scary, if Ryo hadn’t caught him, and he had hit his head, would he have died? How had he even managed to slip like that, shouldn’t someone who dances as part of their job have better balance than that? Finally he sighed and blinked slowly.
“Hime? Are you okay?” Tatsuya gave a shaky, humourless half-laugh.
“Damn, that was stupid, falling like that,” he muttered. Ryo bit his lip again, Tatsuya’s voice was shaking and he hadn’t met his eyes yet.
“It was an accident, but you’re okay, I caught you, you’re fine,” Tatsuya lifted his gaze to Ryo’s face, and saw he had made him worry all over again. Smiling he lifted his hands to cup Ryo’s face and leant their foreheads together.
“Yeah, you did,” Ryo shut his eyes and wrapped his arms around Tatsuya’s lithe frame and pulled him close.
“You always do,” he felt Tatsuya whisper against his neck as he hugged him back.
“Stop making me worry, donkey boy,” Ryo muttered, stroking his hair, Tatsuya laughed and Ryo was beyond relieved to hear his voice had stopped shaking.
“I’m sorry Ryo, now let go of me so I can go get my clothes,” he yelped when Ryo tightened his hold.
“Don’t wanna,” he said in a babyish voice. Tatsuya laughed and pulled away, emerging from the bathroom a moment later in his clean clothes, climbing onto the bed beside Ryo and resting his head in his lap, closing his eyes and squirming happily when Ryo began to comb his fingers through his hair again.
“What is it with you and my hair today?” he asked.
“I like it, plus you kind of look like a cat when I play with your hair, it’s cute,” Tatsuya laughed and sat up, pushing Ryo to lie down properly and lying beside him.
“First I’m a princess, then I’m a donkey, now I’m a cat, when are you going to make up your mind?” Ryo smirked and wrap one arm over his waist, closing the gap between them.
“I know exactly what you are, you’re mine,” Tatsuya laughed.
“Then, if I’m yours, will you promise me something Ryo?”
“Anything,”
“Will you always catch me?” Ryo blinked in surprise, then smiled softly and enveloped his princess in his arms, whispering into his hair.
“As if you even have to ask,”
