So like at DnD today the most epic thing happened. The party was in a sunken city searching for an old weapons cache for a rebellion. The city was infested with Bulettes and Purple Worms. They found the fort with the stuff in it, and when they entered, they found that it was a cloaker nest. The walls and ceiling were completely covered in cloakers. So they magicked the fuck out of the place with some clever placement and exploration methods, like Tenser's Floating Disc + Invisibility. They found a few magic items, some scrolls--including a scroll of Speak to Animals or something similar--and the weapons cache. So they left. But the ruckus they raised attracted the attention of pretty much everything in the town, so they had to mad dash their way above ground.
When they arrived, they were met by the current antagonist, and a division of his forces that had just destroyed a rebel base(around 500 people). He told them to surrender. They fought back brilliantly. They were pressed up against the cave wall, and taking damage, but suddenly the mage calls for everyone to get close and he casts Leomund's Secure Hut with the windows facing the walls of the cave and the door facing the entrance of the cave. They subdue the enemies caught in the Hut and take them captive. They then come up with the plan to use the scroll of Speak to Animal they found earlier to talk to the Bulettes. So, after resting for a few hours, they head back into the sunken city and attract the attention of some of the mole things and, after some diplomacy, they lead the Bulettes back to the Hut, and throw the captives to them as an offering. The Bulettes then buy their story and begin to burrow out of the cave for food. The Purple Worms, noticing a lot of the potential eats leaving the area, decide to follow the Bulettes. The enemy army was decemated, dispersed, and chased away by the Bulettes and Purple Worms. This lot can be brilliant sometimes.
Oh and also I finally beat SA, but I had to use one continue. I'm just so happy I got past Orin.
