One of the people hit was the absoloutely amazing Chanelle Morgan. I had classes with her last year. She is/was an incredibly talented artist and a brilliant theorist. All the media reports is the she was the fiancee of a doctor. My friend Fernanda puts it well

I have to admit, the optimist in me hopes that it's not so much a willful sexism so much as a lack of information before going to press... but I have a feeling I'm being naive in that.

Oh wow good catch on his profile. I wonder if someone changed that FOR him though after he was arrested...it's possible.

And I did see in the Metro they listed more info about Chanelle - someone looked at her facebook page (so weird that those things stay existing and people post messages of grief on her wall...) so your optimist self may be on the right track.

I don't know, I pulled it out of a list of other items, it's probably not particularly meaningful that he listed those two in that order, just... sad, all things considered.

I have two people who have passed away on my friends list, and another that keeps coming up as a "friend suggestion" despite the fact that she was lost at sea two years ago. It's definitely weird, the way Facebook and Myspace and all that stays behind...
